Phobos: "Why Ellie...?" *approaches her & kisses her on the cheek* "I never knew you cared. ... However..." *plays with her hair to make it bushy, then sits back in his seat* "You're going about it all wrong. Testing for poison before every meal may seem like a good idea at first. But only a complete moron would use a poison that kills instantly. A clever assassin would use small amounts of poison that would be harmless in small doses & yet lethal if consumed daily for a period of several months. Being that our servers change on a regular basis, having them test for poison would be at no risk to them. That's why only my most trusted soldiers (usually because they're well paid) are posted to supervise the cooks during the creation of every meal. It's better to prevent the food from being poisoned in the first place, than to trust the cooks to work unsupervised & test the food for poison later. But I am thankful you're trying. That was very thoughtful of you." *resumes eating*

"Put a sock in it!" Elyon replied, as she fixed her hair and whiped her cheek. While Phobos had a valid point, it would take just one moron and one careless meal to do the job, and do it effectively. "I don't need your stupid stories! I don't need your belittling comments, and in fact, I'm even starting to doubt if I even need you!" With those ice cold words, she returned to waiting for a reaction from the servant. She kept her brother in the corner of her eyesight, however... If he even dared to try and touch her again... You don't need them, Elyon... Destroy them... Like a sharp double-edged blade, Phobos' words almost seemed to start doing more harm than good...

Phobos: *sets his fork down* "In that case," *stands up* "It is time for my royal bath." *walks toward the door*

"What did I just say!?" The princess called out, keeping Phobos from moving any further by magically pulling his long hair. "I said: this is not the time for your stupid games! So sit down and eat your veggies like a big man." Her magic started pulling the prince's hair just a little more, obvoiusly trying to drag him back to his seat.
Cedric held back fake laughter. "She's correct, sire." he said. "You really should stop joking so much during dinner." He went back to his meal in utmost seriousness, hoping that the dark one would understand all of the 'alert' signals that were being given off here...

Phobos: "But the veggies look poisoned..." *glares at the servant* Servant: Phobos: "Well? Don't make me wait all day. Go test a few."The servant goes to Phobos' plate & starts eating the veggies. Phobos: Now cough & fall to the ground to show that they're poisoned.Servant: B-but...Phobos: There's gonna be an execution tonight. Would you care to be a part of it?The servant starts coughing, then falls to the floor. His eyes are closed. Phobos: *gasps* "Oh my..."

"Hypocrite!" Elyon called. She didn't appear to be all that impressed by Phobos' hoax. "I think I'm beginning to see why the rebellion was formed in the first place. You're totally unfit to--" "No, Elyon!" Cedric interupted. This was about to go out of hand. Allowing Elyon to turn against them would be the most lethal of mistakes, and even more so under the current circomstances... "The rebellion is a band of thugs, Elyon! To them, it doesn't matter who occupies the throne, or how the country is ruled! I assure you, they would've formed regardless of what his highness had done." Elyon looked at him with shocked expression on her face. It's been a while since Cedric spoke out against her...
"Your majesty..." the blond man continued, turning to Phobos. "Might I suggest you obey your sister's wishes and focus on more serious and pressing matter? Clearly, she is getting wrong impressions, and we need to correct that faulty image accordingly." He held up the folder that he recieved earlier, reminding his liege of the important matter that needed to be discussed. And while not everything needed to be heard by the princess, there were some topics that could do with less secrecy...

Phobos: "No, Cedric. Ellie is right." *looks to the floor* "I am unfit to rule."
He returns to his seat. While using the assumed to be dead servant as a footstool, the dark lord unwillingly begins to eat his not-so-poisoned veggies.

"Phobos..." Elyon started, finally starting on her own meal as well. "I would preffer to be adressed by my name: Elyon. Not 'Ellie'. Remember it this time!" She remained quiet for the remainder of dinner, her mind going back to the time when she didn't mind being nicknamed as such... It used to be Cornelia who called her that... But now, they were enemies. Or at least, that's what they're supposed to be. For an enemy, Cornelia kept awefully quiet... And Phobos, a suposed 'ally' really was being too loud and trying too hard for her to take him seriously. If he'd keep doing like he's doing right now... Why should she even tolerate his pressence at all?

Phobos: *glances at her* She's so pretty when she's angry. Maybe if I asked nicely, she might let me hold her on my lap? What the hell am I thinking? She's a stupid, spoiled, obnoxious brat! One that just happens to be seductive when she's angry. And yet... He quickly shakes his head & resumes eating.

After a short while, Elyon pushed her plate away. Talk about overkill. She felt almost stuffed, yet there were still enough courses left to feed a whole family for a week...
Suddenly, a soldier ran in. "Prince Pho--" he cut his sentence short as he noticed that he was on the recieving end of Cedric's highly venomous stare. Quickly, he dropped his club and fell to his knees. "Pardon for the interruption, your highness!" he resumed. "But the prison cell of the traitor, Boromir, was found empty." "WHAT!?" Cedric shot up from his seat. "Which incompetent fool was assigned to guard him!?" "B-Birgir, my lord..." Cedric clenched his fist. There were thousands of soldiers in Phobos' service. How was he supposed to know which one of them this 'Birgir' was? "My liege. What is your will?" he then asked Phobos.
Elyon got up from her seat too a this point. "Yeah, as if his will is gonna matter..." She mumbled sarcastically. "You're all going to have to excuse me." With that, she walked toward the door...

Elyon calmly left the dining hall and, even though she didn't actually mean to, lived up to Phobos' expectation...
S L A M ! !
[Exit: Elyon to her dormitory]
Cedric smiled in satisfaction. Without Elyon here, there was no need to hold anything back or keep up a facade... So he immediatly took the oppurtunity to transform into his true self. A grotesque humanoid snake creature. "Your luminousness..." he hissed gleefully. "How shall we punish the incompetence of the prison guard?"

Cedric bared his fangs in a gleeful grin, as he turned back to the soldier. "Make it so!" He ordered. "A-at once, lord Cedric!" The soldier immediatly got up and left.
The big snake's grin vanished slowly... "We need to take action, my prince..." he started. "We are moving in quite a vulnerable position now, and if we don't act carefully, our enemies might be able to exploit that vulnerability..."
