"Yeah," Will said, nodding at Cornelia's words. "We can come another time if Hay Lin doesn't want to. Is it that urgent?"
*Will pulled her jacket tighter as the wind started to get chillier*
"In any way, you've still got some explaining to do. I still don't understand the whole deal with Phobos and that lizard guy Cedric. We need your point of view of some answers, once Hay Lin is feeling better and wants to go." Will said pretty forcefully

Elyon wrapped her arms around herself. She felt as if she was freezing. As if she turned into a giant icecube. "They know Phobos?" she asked. "Mrs. Rudolph knows Phobos? And do they know you!? Does Mrs. Rudolph know you!?" Things got only more confusing - and more cold - over time. How on earth would the girls know of Phobos? How would Mrs. Rudolph know about Phobos? Were they... No... That couldn't be true, could it?
"Lizard guy..." she whispered to herself, wondering what Will meant with that...

Hearing the guardians words, Cedric found out who this familiar person was immediately.
"It's that traitor!!" He raised his voice a bit, luckily it wasn't loud enough for the guardians or anyone else to hear. Then he heard what Elyon had whispered to herself.
Oh no...he glanced down at her, hoping she didn't notice. She can't find out anything!!!!
"I knew it! Those girls are trying to take you away from Phobos, just like that traitor Galgheita did years ago. That 'teacher' of yours is a monster from Meridian, she was the one who captured you with your so-called 'parents' and the three of them went to Earth. Your brother sent search parties all over the place for you, but there was nothing. He couldn't let Meridian fall, so he had no other choice but to take your throne until he found you. Unfortunately, these rebels are a group of traitors trying to bring him down, and the guardians are helping them."
He was calm enough to keep his voice down, but looked angry. "You can't trust your 'friends,' Elyon. They are traitors! They are trying to kill your brother, who has been looking for you for many years, and who's still trying to protect you!!"
Cedric stopped at that sentence. He was worried that maybe he had gone too far with his lying and scared Elyon. "But you can trust your brother and I, we're both here for you, no matter what happens," he said quickly. "If your brother is absent, then I'm right beside you, if I can't make it, then your brother will cancel his duties to be with you." That didn't sound convincing at all. Phobos was a complete stranger to her as it is. But he was hoping she would at least buy some of it.

*Will shivered. Everything felt so incredibly cold...*
"Well," Will said as her teeth chattered. "Is that the plan? I want to get out of this cold ASAP. But...one last good-bye?" Will said as she nodded at Hay Lin and looked back toward Yan Lin's grave and let up her hand slowly.
"Good-bye, I hope we can see you again." Will whispered very softly.

*Cornelia nodded and the girls all walked over to Yan Lin's grave and said their last good byes.*
"Good bye, Yan Lin." Cornelia softly whispered. "I know your gone, but it still feel's like your here with us..."
*Another stung gust of wind blew, stronger this time.*

*Taranee closed her eyes*
Goodbye Yan Lin. We only knew you for a short time but you changed our lives
*Taranee looked to Mrs. Ruldolf and the other guardians and felt that things would only be getting more difficult.*

Elyon said nothing. She wasn't even sure if she heard everything Cedric said. Too much information...
It was all so confusing from her point of view... Mrs. Rudolph, a monster? Cedric a lizard guy? Her friends a group of traitors? Phobos a worried prince? She clasped her hands together and blew into them, hoping to warm them a bit. Even her breath felt like it was freezing, so it didn't help at all. "H-How cold is it really?" she asked. "This isn't normal anymore..."

It took only one look at her for Cedric to realize she didn't believe him and already suspected he was a monster. He started to get scared himself. Now what? He ruined everything, he knew he did. Maybe it was best if they kept the topic on something other than Meridian and the guardians.
"I...I would say it's quite chilly out here," Cedric answered. "But this is the fall, so it makes sense. I suppose that maybe it's just a bit more cold than it should be, but the weather is always unpredictable, is it not?" He shivered a bit, acting like he hadn't said anything about Galgheita or the guardians.
He looked up the sky, then down to the ground, and then around Heatherfield. What was he to say now? "You know, the fall leaves are quite a scene. They're beautiful, aren't they? I've read a lot of poems on them." He inhaled and then exhaled. He needed to think of something better to talk about. Maybe ask her a question. That would get her mind off things easier.
"So...what exactly are these 'cars' that are always moving around. It seems like everyone has one. How do they work, anyway?"

"Yeah, Come on, let's go." Will finally said and they all started walking toward the streets in tow of Mrs. Rudolph.

"Cars?" Elyon repeated. "Cars are like earth's version of Meridian's coaches, running on an engine rather than an animal..." For a moment she wondered how she knew about Meridian's vehicles in the first place, but quickly enough she remembered the knowledge just poured into her head the day she was taken to Meridian.
Elyon blew into her hands once more, as she noticed Mrs. Rudolph and the girls leave the cemetary. "Look!" she said. "They're leaving now, aren't they? Should we... Follow them?"

"Uh.." He didn't want Elyon to know the whole truth. The plan would be completely ruined. "No, I really think we should go back to Meridian. Besides, you said you only wanted to see if things were ok in Heatherfield, and they are, for the most part. Your friends don't care anymore, Elyon. They would only be nice to you to use you, and to make you kill your own brother at that. You don't want to kill your own brother, do you?"
Lies, lies, and more lies. How long was he going to keep this up? He never told this many lies in one day. He was running out of false truths. Now what?
"We should get going, it's getting late in Meridian. It's probably been at least 5 days we were gone in Meridian. Phobos will get worried and go crazy. We need to go back to Meridian, Elyon. " He walked back toward Elyon's house.
"Let's go back by the portal in your house," he said, then turned around. Please, oh please come. Please don't stay here any longer than you have to, please, please, please!!!

Elyon merely stood there, looking at the ground. Everything had changed. In just a week, everything was different. She had gotten scared of her own friends, and didn't know who her family was anymore. Did she even have family at all? Phobos claimed to be her brother, and he actually could be. But she could never be his sister, could she? She was just a teenager with no friends, and Phobos was prince control. On the other hand... The people who she thought were her parents are now gone. They were traitors who kept her in a lie. For all these years, her life was a lie... And her friends... In her eyes, they were just some other teenage girls. But Phobos and Cedric know them as 'guardians'. They didn't seem like they actually cared about Elyon's absence. They even seemed surprised when Hay Lin called out her name. As if they didn't even expect her to be here anymore...
"Cedric..." she whispered, hoping he would hear it. "Where do I belong? I'm a stranger in Meridian, and Heatherfield doesn't feel like home either anymore... Everything's changed... The choice is aweful, and difficult... I can't make it!!"

"You belong in Meridian," Cedric insisted, "that's where you were born. It's where you came from. That's the place where people want you, where they need you. That's where...you might have some new friends. Better friends. Friends that really care about you and won't betray you." His expression was very melancholic. He was just as confused and scared as she was. He didn't know how else to convince someone to live on another planet just for her brother to end up killing her.
"I'll be honest, I don't understand at all what you're going through, because nothing like this has happened to me. But," He squatted down and put his arm around her, "I know, with all my heart, that you truly belong in Meridian. Haven't you ever felt a strange feeling that you were never really from Earth, or that your parents were a bit distant to you? Or maybe you had a connection with Meridian before?" He tried to smile for her, hoping it would convince her to come with him.
"You love to draw, you told me that once. Haven't you ever drawn something magical, where you were almost not thinking, but just drawing it?"
