They were coming... Elyon could hear their footsteps. The other girls were coming her way. Could they see her? Was it possible they could see her? She couldn't even see herself. Even if she closed her eyes and covered them with her hands, could she look right through herself. It actually was kinda spooky...
It wouldn't matter... Hay Lin had seen her already, and it seemed as if the other girls could see her all the same. Her mind was probably just playing tricks on her. And since the others were approaching, there was little reason to remain hidden. However, that did not mean she wouldn't run...
Slowly, she stepped away from the tree and blinked. It was scary to blink right now, since Elyon could see right through her eyelids... Quietly, she walked away. If the others could truly see her, they would likely follow...
Being invisible has its downsides though... The mourners couldn't see her either, and thus couldn't know when they were about to walk into her. She was lucky that many of them were still offering their condoleances.
Two men with blue overals and shovels were gently filling up a hole in the earth with dirt. Even though there was no stone yet, it was clear that they were working on someone's grave. It is a cemetary of course... The area around the grave was covered in white flowers, perfectly matching the white outfits of everyone present. Elyon's hearing hadn't faded when she stepped away from the tree. She still caught every sound, no matter how faint... Thus, it was not too difficult to understand what was going on here. Not considdering that these events were the prime subject of conversations all around her...
Elyon stood there, as invisible as Martin, staring at the grave which apparently was Yan Lin's... She noticed how her toes and fingers slowly grew cold...

Cedric could still feel her, although they were breaking up a bit. Sensing was a very high skill of magic. It took a lot of concentration to keep up, especially when you're trying not to be spotted by anyone. He could feel her sadness lingering on. It obviously hadn't gone away. It only grew darker and more depressing, just as Cedric had thought. He felt like he wanted to hug her, but he knew that would a very stupid thing to do in this case.

"I still don't see her, Hay Lin." Will called out dubiously as she was closer to the tree and looked around. Even as small as Elyon was, she couldn't possibly be hiding somewhere behind the tree.
*Then it hit her without warning. A wave of dizziness coursed throughout her body and Will stopped*
"Oh..." Will whimpered as a shaky hand instantly moved up to her forehead and she started swaying on the spot.

"Hold, hold on..."
*Will wasn't sure if she could respond. This head wave seemed so unreal...She finally straightened up and managed a reassuring smile*
"Yeah, I'm okay. It was just that weird feeling again...Well, I'm not so sure if Elyon's here." Will also added.

"Hay Lin, are you sure you saw her? It could have been someone who looked like her from a distance."
*Cornelia walked around the tree three times to make sure Elyon wasn't there.*
Maybe Elyon was here... It's not like her to miss Yan Lin's funeral... But why would she hide from me...

"I-I...I was sure it was her..." Hay Lin began, feeling very confused now. Maybe she had made a mistake...but she had been so sure that she had seen Elyon standing there. She looked helplessly at the others. "I was so sure that she was right here, but it's like she vanished into thin air. I'm so confused..."

*Taranee saw the feeling in Hay Lin's eyes and she put her hand on Hay Lin's shoulder*
"It's okay Hay Lin."

"Yeah, let's just get out of here. Maybe get some hot chocolate or tea or something to feel better." Will said as she stared at the spot once more and turned around.

"Don't worry Hay Lin. I'm sure tears just made everything all blurry. Let's go." Cornelia replied simply.
*The girls walked back towards Hay Lin's parents and the mourners.*

The guardians were finally gone and Cedric felt much more safe to come out again. He was still sensing Elyon with his magic. "E-Elyon?" He walked closer to the tree. Should he just tell her he was coming? It shouldn't be such a surprise, he was supposed to keep an eye on her anyway... "Elyon?" He said again, he tapped her on the shoulder.

"Cedric..." Elyon whispered back. Not for a moment did she wonder if and why Cedric could see her. Slowly she turned in his direction. A pair of wet spots in the air, at eye level, revealed her pressence. "What has happened here while I was gone, Cedric? What in the world has happened?"

Cedric was silent for the first few minutes. He didn't have to sense her anymore. Her tears revealed her presence. She's crying...Cedric thought. I have to make it stop. "I'm really not sure what happened here..." Cedric crouched down to her level until his eyes met hers. "All I can say is that a lot of terrible truths were revealed. The guardians just found out who they are, and you just found out who you are. All of you are scared and tense." They were a lot of things he should be saying at this point, but he couldn't find them. All he could think of was to hug crying Elyon and try to calm her down. "I know you feel like you're all alone, but you're not. I'm right here, I'm with you. All the way. Whenever you're scared, you'll always have me, ok? I'm not going to leave or let anything hurt you. I promise. I don't just see you as the princess, I see you as Elyon." He didn't say anything else for a moment. "Would you like to go back home?"

Dozens of thoughts rooled, jumped, skipped and shot through her head. Elyon had no clue what to do. Where did she belong? Who should she believe?
She dried her own tears, remembering full well that she had decided not to cry anymore a few days ago... "You'll always see me as Elyon?" she repeated after Cedric. "But I can't even see myself... Not as me or princess..."
She remained silent for several minutes more, until she spoke: "I want to catch up to them... The gua-- The girls... I want to know what they're discussing. If they even missed me... If they even noticed I was gone... I want to know..."
