"Yeah, it seems so." Cedric said. "Now... I really don't know the school as well as you do, so if you know a good hiding spot, then lead the way."

Elyon rolled her eyes. Why didn't Cedric say that in the first place? First giving her good advice and sounding like he knows what he's doing, then completely depend on her. Better make this worth the while...
"Very well. I suppose we could go there..." she said, already taking a few steps back and halfway into the wall again. Knowing Cedric could still track her, she took another step and completely vanished from the classroom.
[exit: Elyon, swiftly followed by Cedric-Collins to Sheffield's Library]

[Enter: Cedric-Collins from the Library]
Cedric disguised as Mr. Collins walked inside and sat at his desk. It was still lunch hour so he began to wait for his next class.
I wonder if there is some sort of roll sheet, he wondered.
He finally found some papers on a clipboard and smiled.
Cornelia Hale and Will Vandom were on there

[Enter: Will and Cornelia from the Cafeteria]
Will and Cornelia entered and sat down at their usual desks next to each other. Will shot a curious glance at Mr. Collins, wondering if he was still acting strange. Maybe the others had overreacted to him being weird because of what Will had told them about someone or something from Meridian possibly being in Heatherfield? Perhaps he was just lacking sleep or stressed out? He had been acting strangely already in Will's opinion based on the past few days. Maybe his weird behavior toward Will was now spreading to everyone...
They took out their essays that they were turning in and got out their History books and a pen and a notebook and looked up expectantly for the lesson to begin so that they could finish school and then all go enjoy their weekend.
More students shuffled in and the bell rang for class to start.

"Take your places, people." 'Collins' said. "Let's begin the lesson." Cedric decided to try to act as casual as he could this time. He probably caused enough suspicion during the previous lesson. There would have been no point in pretending if he'd have blown his cover. Especially now, when they finally came up with a plan.
So no weird stuff. But then he remembered that he forgot what the lesson was supposed to be about. With all that excitement, Cedric didn't bother thinking about things as casual as lessons. If the fact that he doesn't know what to talk about will be revealed, it will be a quick farewell to'Collins' body. But how was he supposed to get out of the situation? Cedric shuffled through Collins' papers, trying to find the information that he lacked, but everything was a mess after his last lesson. So once again, he had to act spontaneously.
"Listen, everyone." He said. "I'm really tired today and I don't feel very well. So I won't be able to talk with my usual... enthusiasm. And no one wants to listen to a teacher with a boring voice, right? Right. So... I've been thinking that we could make the lesson special - that way I'd be interested enough to sound interesting and you'd be interested enough to care about what I have to say. Sounds like a plan, right? Right."
He took a few steps towards the students, looked at Will, Cornelia and Will again and then continued.
"I know that most of you don't care about history as much as I do - you don't love it as much as I do, but still - maybe there's a part of history that really fascinates you? Like... the discovery of America... the World Wars... or maybe the holy Crusades, perhaps the history of the Roman Empire - you can pick anything you want." Cedric glanced at Will again and said in a seemingly sweet voice: "Miss Vandom, maybe you have a suggestion?"

"Uh..."
Will was taken aback. She had been deep in her thoughts and suddenly been brought back to reality.
Was there a part of history that she liked? She racked her brain for something...

"Silence..." 'Collins' raised his hands theatrically. "I love it so much! At home, in bed, in the park, in family gatherings, in the bathroom, even in romantic dates - but not in my classroom, when I ask someone a question. So I take it that you don't have an answer, right?"

"I'm not sure," Will admitted. "There's no much to choose from.
She glanced at Cornelia, who only shrugged

"But there is plenty to choose from!" 'Collins' smiled. "So many wars fought! So many architectural wonders built! So many kingdoms built! So many leaders killed! So many discoveries! So many travels! So many wrongs! So many stupid misunderstandings caused by humanity's flaws!.." Shut up right now. Cedric's mind commanded. It's getting out of hand. "But I understand." He continued in a slightly calmer voice. "It's so hard to choose, right? It's like when someone asks what would you like for Christmas. People always want new things, but when the time comes, they tend to forget everything. But let's not get too carried away. Miss Hale... Maybe you'd like to help your friend out?"

Cornelia seemed just as taken aback as Will.
"Oh well, I think maybe World War II"
She looked at Will, wondering if she was getting any bad vibes, but it just seemed that she was perplexed at the question. Maybe Collins wasn't as weird as the others had thought. After all he said that he was really tired

"World War II!" Cedric almost jumped up with excitement. "And here I thought that all girls are the same - afraid of even the slightest hint of bloody fun. Impressive, miss Hale, truly impressive."
Before he started making remarks about how amazing Collins' moustache was, Cedric tried to concentrate on the subject. World War II, eh? He didn't remember the details, so... "World War II... Let's see." He started walking from one side of the classroom to the other. "Well, I don't want to bore you with the what-happened-when stuff. That's what the books are for - and other teachers, not as amazing as me. Let's instead talk about the meaning of all things! Like, why did it happen, how did it happen and... so on. So... miss Hale, do you know why did the war start?"

Cornelia tried to think. This was what she got for getting the attention away from Will.
"Um, well there were still leftover feelings of anger in Germany after World War I weren't there? I mean and then Hitler came and things turned crazy, and with the Holocaust and everything."
It didn't sound to great, but she hadn't researched it or anything

"Precisely. How can a country lose a war and then just back down?" 'Collins' said. "If fight, then fight to the very end! Death or victory! Nothing in between!"
Cedric was overjoyed. He could actually stop acting like Collins. Right now, he was speaking his mind, talking about things he considered important. Right now, he was feeling completely free - even with the stolen shape. Death, aggression, betrayals, torture - Cedric knew all about these things. All he had to do was not to sound like an admirer of these things - and everything will be alright.
"What amazes me the most is that Germany could stand back up on its feet so soon after being completely mangled, crushed and broken down. So many people dead, so many territories lost. So many resources and weapons stolen. Their international reputation was ruined. The country was bleeding, dying and yet it stood back up. Of course, it was partially because of Hitler's smooth way of manipulating people and using their hidden feelings, but it also means that Germans were strong - strong and proud, even if they lost. Miss Vandom..." He suddenly turned at Will with a wicked smile. "Do you know what was the official reason? The pretext?"

"Um, well there was a treaty after the first war, Ver...something that forced the Germans to be in turmoil. So Hitler rose up and invaded Poland..."
She wasn't sure what to say really. The details were a little fuzzy. She hadn't read any of this in the book yet.
I guess he really isn't that weird...he sure loves to interrogate us like a history teacher

"Well, there really is no way to answer that question." Cedric said. "But hey, at least you tried. The thing is - there were no pretexts that would have seemed serious enough. I mean, if you start a world war, how can you expect to look like the good guy if you start another? I guess Germans just decided to do things the hard way... You know, no disguises and no lies. No pretending. They just dropped the act and attacked."
That's kind of what I want to do too. He thought.
"Also, the World War showed all the flaws of democracy. Germany was ruled like the kingdoms in the old ages - and Germany alone managed to fight of Russia, Great Britain, France, USA, the Balcan states and a load of other nations. Well, they weren't completely alone - Japan supported them, just to fail miserably in a ridiculous attempt to conquer the strongest nation at the time. Italy supported them, just to build a military force that lacked both skill and motivation to achieve its goals. Turkey supported them but never did anything of importance. So the Germans were pretty much alone. It was because German soldiers weren't living in a democratic world - they had no choice but to obey and they obeyed. People in France and Great Britain had options - either to volunteer and most likely die or to back down and let the others make the sacrifice. The same was with USA. And what was the outcome? The bravest, strongest and fairest men were sent to war, to save the lives of the fat, cowardly and stupid. It's always like this in democracies - the best protect the rotten."
'Collins' paused. He sounded like a Nazi just now and he knew that no one will understand what he's saying.
"I'm not saying that Hitler was right. On the contrary, we can easily call him one of the most horrid beings of this world. But his presence truly showed what's what. It helped people see what's right and what's wrong and many right choices were made. Miss Vandom, perhaps you can name some of those choices?"
