Miranda: "Dinner?" *blinks as her mind returns to reality* "Oh, yes... Dinner!" She follows Auntie Ellie back to the table.

Cedric smiles as he sees them coming back. He was proud to see how Elyon took things into her own hands, once she saw a problem.
Like a real queen. But of course! Elyon is no average, ditsy little girl! She is Weira, reincarnated...
Weira. Before he went into flash back mode, he put down his fork and pulled out their chairs. "Welcome back, girls."

Miranda: "Why thank you, Ceddy!" *does a graceful curtsy* "It's good to know that there is at least one gentleman in this castle who still knows how to treat a lady." *sits in her chair & looks up at him sweetly* "Would you be so kind as to cut my food? I seem to have misplaced my knife."

"Thank you, Cedric." Elyon said, smiling friendly at the man, before resuming her dinner... She tried hard at supressing her urge to show a sly smile... I might've caught onto something interresting here...

"No problem," he said to both. "Sure," he answered Miranda, after giving Elyon his best smile. He cut Miranda's meat into bite size bits, so she could convienently pop it into her mouth. "You both look lovely tonight," he said, afraid of being too quiet. It was a ball, after all. He turned to Elyon. He'd been dying to talk to her all day.
"Would like any help with anything, Elyon?" He smiled sweetly.

Miranda: "Thanks, honey." She steals Vathek's fork, then begins to eat her food.

"Thank you. But I seem to manage fine." the princess stated. She briefly peeked at Miranda from the corners of her eyes, and somehow couldn't help but find taht she was acting ridiculus. Getting up and acting all childish and innocent, only to get Cedric to do what she wanted... It reminded Elyon of the Grumper sisters, Bess and Courtney, when they were trying to sweet-talk every teacher within earshot...
No, Elyon wasn't a baby that needed to be fed anymore. What would Phobos and Cedric think of her if she was? No... She was neither a Grumper, nor a baby. She's the princess now, and only needed to be shown the ropes around this place... "Though if I think of anything, I'll be sure to let you know."

Miranda: She continues to eat.

Cedric's smile now turned admirable. "You're so independent, I'm surprised Phobos thinks you need to be taken care of! How do you like the ball, princess?" He didn't say "princess" in a condescending tone. It was more like he was trying to say "queen."

Miranda decides she doesn't like where this conversation is heading & excuses herself. She walks toward the ballroom doors.

"Bye," he told her before she went. He allowed himself a sigh. Why must she take this so dramatically? Now that he actually knew Miranda, he was starting think she overeacted too much...he turned back to Elyon. "But as I was saying before, how do you like the ball? Is it what you expected?"
Probably not with Phobos being unconscious, he contradicted himself.

Ballroom Guard: "Going somewhere, Madam?"
Miranda: "Just open it... Or even better!" *grabs the knob* "I'll do it myself."
She opens the door & leaves.

Probably not with Phobos being unconscious, he contradicted himself. "Oh, the ball's..." Elyon actually wanted it to end soon, so she could forget everything that happened today... "Okay... A few issues such as..." she looked around the huge table, at the guests, who apparently remained lissfully ignorant about what happened on the hallways. "That... 'soldier thing'..." she decided, not intending to cast away the good atmosphere among guests... "And Miranda's acting weird. Did you know she's before me in line to be crowned queen of Meridian?"

Despite his consistant acting mode, he blinked blankly at this one. Miranda was to be coronated? Why hadn't Phobos--?
She made it up, obviously.
"Ugh," he sighed, and rolled his eyes with a "fed-up" expression he'd never made before. He felt sorry for Miranda, seeing that she was only a child surrounded by a bunch of boring soldiers, but this was taking it too far! Just what age what she to be toying with Ellie like this? "I'm sorry she wasted your time with a stupid story, Elyon." He paused, remembering all of the other unintentional events that had taken part tonight. "I'm really sorry this ball didn't go well for you, princess."
He frowned and looked disappointed. For such a long time now Elyon looked sad and lonely, and he didn't blame her for it. But he would've liked to see her smile and be happy because she deserved to. He hoped that this ball could be one last good thing to happen to her before she died. But no. Thanks to that idiot Jarod, thanks to that selfish Phobos, thanks that arrogant Miranda, this was yet another bad memory of Meridian. And he'd done nothing to prevent any of it.
"Please tell me what I can do to make this night end as well as possible."

"You don't need to appologize..." Elyon stated. "You can't help it...'
She sighed, and let her fork rest on her plate for a moment... "I think I'll go back to bed after dinner, or something... After all, there's some stuff I need to discuss with Phobos tomorrow too..."
