Elyon started smiling. Slowly spreaading her arms wide, she buffetted the nearing Himerish with a massive blizzard that would certainly hinder him.
Quite obviously, she was intending to see what the warrior could muster...

The blizzard conjured by Elyon was strong but Himerish had been trained to battle in every kind of harsh condition when he was young.
*Himerish stopped and lowered his stance thus reducing his volume subjected to wind.*
Now he was safe from being blown away. Yet he needed somehow get close to Elyon. Actually there was a trick he could do but it required perfect timing to do it. Himerish decided to take his chances.
*Himerish instantly turned around and swinged his sword in a large arc [180 deg., from back to forth]. The broadsword cut through the air creating momentary vacuum.*
In a fraction of a second air filled the vacuum and a reverse air current formed.
*Now with the wind behind him Himerish advanced towards Elyon even faster than before.*
[OOC: Reverse air current won't last more than a second so if you stop me I won't be able to reach you. ;D There is a bit rubber science so unless it is unacceptable count it as the magic in the blade.]

The wind-cut was an impressive way to deal with the situation. Elyon would applaud Himerish for this feat, had it not been for the still nearing danger. She dropped the blizard and reverted to sly, but effective way to dodge the oncoming attack, namely by teleporting away. She reappeared on the far end of the arena, floating in the air. She instantly started a crazy volley of energy attacks, only starting to aim once it started. Due to this, the first three energy balls hit nothing but air. However, all that followed were coming for the warrior, with every attack aimed more precicely than the previous one. Tridy's probably going to see where this is going.

Himerish slashed nothing but air as Elyon teleported away.
"Two can play this game, miss!"
Himerish finally concluded that nearing Elyon with standard methods would fail; therefore he planned on executing a complex tactic against spellcasters that he learned from Endarno. He readied himself as Elyon began unleashing energy attacks on him.
*He seperated a portion of his magic from his body and replaced his inner source with Qi (chi). An extremely fast side step created an after-image loaded with the magic seperated from him thus allowing the image to last a few seconds.*
The energy attacks were drawn to the magic energy left in the after-image all making direct hits to it.
*He then focused his Qi to his legs and sprinted towards Elyon using the smoke and dust for cover that resulted from the explosions.*
The technique was known as the 'abundant step' which allowed the warrior to achieve a quasi-dimensional state. The teleport-like special technique enabled him to end up three steps behind Elyon. (you know, like in animes ;D)
*Himerish lifted his broadsword but felt a strain in his muscles. It would take him a second before he could attack Elyon.*
He could only hope that she wouldn't notice him until his full strenght return.

Elyon, in fact, did notice how Himerish sneaked up behind her... Only too late to teleport to safety in time. She quickly turned around and conjured up a barrier.
She just hoped the barrier wouldn't break immediatly. Himerish's sword was packed with magical energies, and her barrier was fragile. She needed only a second...
