Having found a suitable tree-stump, Vathek sat on the edge of the camp, half-hidden in the shadows as he listened to the other rebels going about their tasks or personal business, cleaning weapons, cooking for the entire camp or just idly chatting.
Gnawing on a dry slice of bread he had snagged in a distracted manner, he found himself going over Caleb's earlier words. How could he throw away everything these people were fighting for on a whim that bordered on selfish like that. he had saw him as a leader and hero, and a good friend, but now he wasn't so sure about all that anymore!
((Ooc: Sorry it took so long to kickstart my muse))

[Enter: Caleb from the Forest]
Caleb cautiously approached Vathek from behind, still worrying that he might be the fearsome Blueberry Man. Upon closer inspection, his worst fears proved to be groundless and Caleb walked in front of his brother-in-arms. Upon seeing Vathek's face, however, Caleb started feeling uneasy again.
That's right. They didn't exactly part on good terms. In fact, Caleb said some pretty selfish things. To a man who's been risking his life every day serving in the castle, even though Phobos could figure out his betrayal at any time. Looking back on it, Caleb felt terrible. He wanted to just run and leave all of this behind. Leave the rebels to die out after giving them hope. On the other hand, it's not like it was forbidden for him to wish for an easier life. That kept him from apologizing immediately.
"Um... hi." Caleb casually greeted Vathek, trying to avoid eye contact.
