Cedric: "Would you like me to send them an invitation to a special midnight showing at the museum?"
He smirks as he thinks how the stupid guardians might actually fall for it.

"Oh yeah. That's sure to lure them in..." Elyon remarked sarcastically. "You might as well put up a signpost next to the painting that says: 'Trap, by Elias van Dahl and Elyon Brown'." The princess knew the girls long enough to know that they were smart enough to detect a trap when they see one. Why else haven't they taken the bait yet? "They're probably weighing their options. There's a good chance they'll take the risk and check out the museum. I don't want to alert them to their imminent defeat."

Cedric: "Indeed, there is no doubt." *reaches behind the counter & brings out a jar of turpentine as he gazes upon it* "The elemental demons are doomed."

"They have names, you know..." Elyon commented as she started to stare blankly at the window. How much longer did she have to wait? It wasn't even a minute ago that she turned down Cedric's idea and she already had second thoughts.

Cedric: "So does Phobos Escanor, but he prefers to be called either Prince or Lord." *tucks the turpentine safely into his pocket* One of these days I'm going to Lord his ass right out of that castle.

"Those are titles. Not insults. You can't compare them." Elyon replied without looking up. She sighed. There was a certain tension in the air wherever Cedric went lately and the more Elyon noticed it, the harder she found it to talk to him. "I'm hungry." she tried. "Do you think we'll have enough time to properly eat?"

Cedric: "Um... I guess we, could... Go out?" *looks at Elyon* "Is there any place in particular that you'd like to go?"

"As long as it's far away from the Silver Dragon." Elyon replied without looking up. "And nothing too fancy. I don't have the time -or money- for anything fancy and Phobos-like..."

Cedric: "Then I know just the place," *walks to the door & opens it* "After you, me dear."
He gestures out to the bright, sunny day with his other hand.

It's evening. And November to boot. Elyon hardly bothered to look up as she got back on her feet. She shrugged absentmindedly as she walked out the door and waited for Cedric to lead the way from there...

Cedric flips the sign to say 'Closed', then locks the door & closes it. [Cedric & Elyon: Exit to Some Alleyway]

Later that evening...
[Enter: Elyon and Cedric from Pizza mania]
Elyon felt at ease as the now-familiar scent of old paper, parchment and leather bindings filled her nose. The bookstore's dark and old, if slightly creepy atmosphere reminded her of her home, and even Meridian. And to think thatshe ever disliked this place before she met Cedric...

Cedric carefully breathed in. The air was dry and full of dust, just like you'd expect the air in a bookstore to be. Usually he was fine with that, but now Cedric was in a really foul mood - partially because of the headache, partially because of Elyon's protective stance even his barrage of words couldn't get past, partially because of Phobos' strange actions in the past few days.
"Honestly, this world..." Cedric muttered to himself, trying to suppress his anger. Tearing a rebel or two apart with his bare hands would be so great right now...
Enough.
"So.." He turned to Elyon. "What now?"

"We wait." Elyon replied. She moved over to the large window display and glared at the world outside. "We wait. We talk. We read. We just kill the time until the girls make their move..."

"I was going to suggest playing that game... how do you call it?" Cedric furrowed his brow. "Oh yeah, twister. We'd get into awkward positions, eventually fall onto one another and laugh, feeling how our bond strengthens. But your idea sounds okay too."
