Day 10 thursday evening
[Enter Elyon and Cedric from Some Street in Heatherfield]

After unlocking it, the front door of this creepy old bookstore slowly creaked open. It was called 'Ye Olde Bookstore' for good reason. The scent of old paper filled the air and the sounds of creaking bookshelves filled the ears. It really was an old-fashioned bookstore.
Elyon walked in silently, although the wooden floorboards kept creaking with every step she took. Just like the first time she came here, her attention got pulled straight to the glass case with the golden peathingy. As far as decorations go, it was probably one of the more stylish ones around. I mean, what's more impressive than a giant golden peathingy? Not much, to be sure. She didn't think much of it the first time around but now Elyon realised just how much this place reminded her of Meridian. She started grinning. She liked it.

"Ah, memories." Cedric said. This place, the only place in Heatherfield he liked truly was full of memories... Somehow, the first word to come to his mind while he was trying to grasp all that took place between these walls was freedom. Yes, here he was more free than anywhere else. Even in Meridian, with only a few outranking him, he still felt more like a slave - or a part of a greater plot, it really wasn't so different. But here, in an alien world, he was free. And so sadness quickly replaced the joy he felt just a moment ago. It's just a short trip, after which he will be back, stuck in his boring life. No new experiences and nothing to keep the spirit going on. Piles of books... A labyrinth of bookshelves... Everything was covered in dust. The place was dark and quiet and so unlike both Meridian and Heatherfield that it seemed eternal, unchangeable. As much as he wanted to sit down and think, remembering all that was good about this place, a voice in his head kept repeating: You're on a mission. You're on a mission. It was constantly getting louder. And there was no way to shut it up before it would ruin everything. "How I missed this place..." Cedric whispered sadly.

"I can imagine that. There's no other place with this kind of atmosphere." Elyon added, not quite catching onto Cedric's conflicted feelings. "I like the bird! Where'd you get it?"

"That?.." Cedric blinked. Everything got a bit blurry. "Oh, that! That I brought from Meridian. Don't know why, I just kind of like that thing too."
Yeah, having a friendly conversation with Elyon about nothing in particular would have been quite nice. But... you're on a mission. That's right. You're on a mission, so stop acting like a being with feelings. "Okay." Cedric stopped doing that. "Now that we're here, we should discuss our plans... That is, if you're not too tired for something like that."

"Go ahead." Elyon replied as she started looking for a chair. "I still got time."

"Sure." Cedric sat down on the ground. "So we have quite a tough situation on our hands. I'm quite helpless and you still don't know how to shape-shift. That means we won't be able to freely walk around outside. We could try and get some rest, to replenish our strength but I fear that the guardians might already know about our presence. And as much as I'd love to just go and see you squash them, I know that in this strange world it would probably bring too much unwanted attention that would eventually lead to nothing good." He paused. "So, even if I know that you won't like it, we simply have to change our shapes. With your help, I could change mine, but it won't work both ways. So... I guess you understand what I mean."

"You don't have to worry about me."Elyon said, walking further into the bookstore in search of a chair. "I've managed to become invisible twice already. It's not the same thing but it managed to fool the girls before. Ah." She found one.

"If that is the case." Cedric decided to give up. "But then I'm gonna ask you one small favor. Since we need to find out what the guardians are planning, we need to get them to talk somehow. It'd be best to impersonate someone close to them - or maybe even one of them. So... I don't know if I should ask this, but could you lend me some of your strength? Not much - just enough for a simple transformation."

As she brought the chair back with her, Elyon smiled. "Of course!" she said. "You know that's no problem." She quickly let go of that blasted chair that kept distracing her from more pressing matter and approached Cedric. "Just tell me how."

"Well, it's one of the simplest things really." Cedric smiled with relief. "Especially if you already can do things like healing and... trashing places." He stood up and approached Elyon. "So... Well, if you're inexperienced, it's best if we stand right in front of each other and hold hands. Yeah, I know, it sounds stupid. But it's the easiest way." After saying that, Cedric raised his hands a bit and decided to wait for Elyon's reaction.

"It's not so stupid at all..." Elyon silently whispered as she took Cedric's hands. Well, since it's giving away magic, it probably was what she did with Vathek in reverse. Duh! makes sense!
So she closed her eyes and did ther thing. Transfer a bit of her own power to Cedric. If Phobos would've seen it, he'd become jealous instantly...
"Will that do?" she asked once she was done. She opened her eyes, but didn't let go of the man's hands just yet...

Cedric kept his eyes close while the magic energy was flowing from Elyon's body to his. He could feel how power - strength - energy, lifeforce - he couldn't find the best word to describe it - quickly overflows him. To Elyon it probably just a small sip of her power, but to him it was incredible. Cedric smiled against his will and opened his eyes. "Lovely..." He said quietly. "Just lovely." Cedric didn't let go of Elyon's hands either.

"So... What are you gonna do?" Elyon asked as her gaze slowly shifted to their joined hands... "Who are you going to disguise yourself as?"

"You know, I want to hit the guardians where it hurts the most." Cedric grinned. "I'm fed up with their tricks and lies. So I figured... that I could change into this guy, for instance."
Still gazing into Elyon's eyes, Cedric slowly transformed to Matt. Just to see the reaction.
