Feeling tired? This is the sport center's place to sit down and enjoy a quick cappuccino. Complete with cute boys for waiters.
Day 11, friday. Somewhere in the early hours.
It was a quiet morning. Nothing special. One of the local waiters, Bill, just finished getting ready as his first costumer of the day barged in. "Bill! I'll have the usual! And make it snappy!" Coach Deplersun yelled "Sure thing, Karl." Bill replied friendly. The swimcoach was in a rush, like usual. Very punctual man.
Whirrrrrrrrrrrrr Whoooooossssshh The scent of fresh coffee filled the air as Bill served the coach what he ordered. For a moment, the waiter frowned. Blast! He just realized that he was out of milk... No worries though. He's pretty sure he had some more in the back. So he excused himself for a moment and left to get it. The coach didn't mind of course. He was contently sipping his coffee while running through today's training excersises again in his mind...
[Enter: Elyon from Some Street in Heatherfield]
Suddenly, Elyon came in. She walked slowly, trying to feel every step she took. She walked silently, making almost no sound at all. As such, the coach reacted quite shocked when she suddenly slipped into the corner of his eyesight. "Hey girl! What do you think you're doing, trying to sneak up on me?" Deplersun yelled. Elyon gave him a brief glare but didn't answer. The coach just shrugged and continued drinking his coffee...
The princess approached another table and sat down. The sports center was full of memories. She used to come here often to see Cornelia skate. She remembered quite well-- Meaningless. With but a blink of her eyes she interrupted that thought and placed it back in a dark forgotten corner of her mind. She didn't want to remember and so she didn't... She refused to be controlled by sentimental feelings, so instead she controlled them. Starting today, Elyon was in control of everything...

[Andrew: Enter from The Dining Room] He walks to some random table (Elyon's table) without paying any attention to its occupants & sits on a chair. Tod (another waiter): *approaches* "Hey, there Tiger. Rough night last night?" Andrew: "You could say so."Tod: *remembers selling concert tickets to Andrew earlier that week* "Oh, that's right. You had that VMJ concert last night, didn't you?" *comes a little closer & lowers his voice* "How'd it go?" Andrew: "It didn't."Tod: "What?" Andrew: "I didn't go to the concert."Tod: "What? You serious?" *sits across from Andrew* "Why not?" Andrew: *sighs* "Cause Will didn't want to go. She & Matt had better things to do."Tod: "Matt? You mean... Matt Olsen? What's he got to do with you not going to the concert with Will?" Andrew: "He's her new boyfriend. Haven't you heard? The jerk bought her a Dormouse & now she's all goo goo eyed every time she looks at him."Tod: "Ya know, you could have just bought Will a frog. I've heard that she's quite the frog fanatic." Andrew: "Yeah, like that would do any good. She didn't accept the concert tickets when I offered to let her to use them to take Matt to the concert instead of going with me. What are the chances that she'd accept a frog from me? ... Face it. Will hates me. She wants nothing to do with me. She won't even look at me."Tod: "Sounds like you need to forget about the red-head & start looking for another girl." *glances at Elyon* "How bout her? She seems pretty enough." Andrew: *doesn't look at Elyon* "Maybe you should stop harassing the customers & get back to work? I'd like a coffee with extra creamer." *sits up straight* "I could use some caffeine right about now."Tod: *stands up without saying a word & writes Andrew's order on the notepad, then looks at Elyon* "What about you, Miss? Is there anything you'd like?"

"I'll take a cappuccino." Elyon replied. Since she was here, she might as well have a drink.
For a moment, Elyon glared at the Hornby kid. She could tell he felt miserable even without him spelling it out to Tod. Through all of the coffee, she could smell the salt of his tears. Too bad for him, the new Elyon refused to feel concerned.
Well, Cedric certainly wasn't around here. She should probably get going once she was-- Briiiiiiip Briiiiiiip Hold the phone... "This is Karl!" the coach shouted into his cell phone. He was several tables away but his voice had no trouble reaching every corner of the cafe. More impressively however, is that Elyon could also hear the person on the other end of the line. "Karl honey, have you heard anything about your days off yet?" A female voice sounded through the phone. Probably Mrs. Deplersun. "Hunny, I told you a hunderd times: there's nothing to worry about! They're only still looking for a temporary replacement." "But our vacation is tomorrow." "I know that. Listen hun! I'll make sure everything will fall into place. You know how these people are. Always waiting until the last moment." "Well okay. By the way, could you pick up some shampoo and sunblock on your way home?" "Yes dear. Listen. I got to go. See you tonight!" "Bye hu--" Quickly the coach hung up and finished his coffee. Then he got up, left a tip for Bill and walked out of the cafe again, mumbling something about the organisation of this place...
Elyon stared in front of her, waiting for her cappuccino. So Mr. Deplersun's going on a vacation tomorrow? Well good for him. Of course it wasn't so good for the swimming team... Ah, but her thoughts drifted away again. With another blink, she discarded the whole stream of thoughts and returned to the waiting. Until she noticed that Andrew was still sitting there, feeling miserable. "So..." She started, intending to small talk some more information out of him. "You know Will Vandom?"

Tod: "Cappuccino, coming right up." *writes notes, then leaves*
Andrew: "I thought I did. But now..." *sighs* "I just don't know what to think anymore."

"I know what you mean." Elyon remarked. Although she could both tell and sense that Hornby had nowhere near as much right to say that as she did. Still, Elyon met Will at the Halloween party but couldn't quite claim she knew much more than her being the keeper of the heart. If Andrew could fill her in on other details, that would be great...
"So what's she like? Is she feeling a bit at home here in Heatherfield?" Elyon asked while she heard the coffee machine purr in the background. Of course, had no intention of listening to the ramblings of a lovesick boy so her magic began influencing his mind. Tell me about her home situation, her hobbies and her accomplishments at school! Elyon commanded through thought. She narrowed her eyes slightly and focussed on the boy, pressing her command onto his will. Her power probed Andrew's mind for the answers, let them surface before any other thought could come up and ensured that he would tell the princess what she needed to hear before anything else...

Andrew: "Will's the most beautiful girl I know. She's upbeat, always in a good mood, usually... " *feels a slight tingle in his head* "She lives on a ground-floor apartment with her mom. I'm not aware of many hobbies of hers. However, she does have a thing for walking in the rain. In fact, that's what led to our first date. A girl named Elyon Brown has been absent from school for over a week. Being the nice guy that I am, I decided to drive to her house & check to see if she was alright. And guess who I happened to find wandering about in the rain? Will Vandom. Her shirt was so soaked with rain, you could see..." *looks up to see Elyon glaring at him* "Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to talk about you in the third person like that. It took me a while to recognize your voice." *gets up & moves to sit in a chair next to her* "So, Ellie...? Or Elyon, if you prefer. How've you been? I haven't seen you since the Halloween party. Is everything alright?"

"I prefer Elyon." the princess responded, looking in front of her. She waited a moment as she saw how both Bill and Tod - the two of them were the only ones left now that coach Deplersun stormed out - came to bring their orders. "Here you go, tiger. One extra creamy coffee for you!" Tod said, while Bill added: "And a cappuccino for the lady." Elyon's lips formed a tiny smile. "Thank you, Bill. You're a treasure." For a moment, Bill looked confused, until the girl pointed at his nametag and revealed why she knew his name. Tod threw a jealous expression at his collegue for a moment, before both of them went back to the coffee machine.
"I'm fine really. Better than ever, in fact." Elyon continued as she took a sip from her drink. Piping hot stuff but she drank from it without trouble. In fact, she had to remind herself that she's not supposed to take such a large sip in the first place. She put the cup down and pretended to have a difficult time swallowing the stuff without burning the throat. Then she briefly faced Andrew, mouthing 'hot' in his direction. "Had a few family matters but we went to Aubrey to sort it out..." I eliminated them all... she thought. For just a moment, her smile widened as she enjoyed the memory. But she quickly returned to the here and now.
"Say, isn't school supposed to start soon?" she casually asked. Of course, Elyon didn't care. She just wanted to end the conversation quickly. Hornby's information was not exacly what she had hoped and so the use of talking to him was running out. Her magic was still aiding her in whatever she wanted to do. This time it imprinted a new order into Andrew's mind. Go to school and don't ask questions! "Maybe you could find Will there and talk things over like adults..."

Although his conscience seems to be telling him to go to school, his unwillingness to get hurt again makes him choose otherwise. Andrew: "No." "I-I can't. Just the mere sight of me sickens her. She never wants to see me again." *gets an idea* "Since I'm ditching school anyway, how bout I stay with you? I can help you unpack & do anything else that needs doing."He looks at her with hope sparkling in his eyes.

Responded via PM. The hopeful look fades from his eyes as a hurtful thought occurs to him. Andrew: "Or was your suggestion merely a hidden attempt to get rid of me?" *whispers so only Elyon can hear* "I may be dense, but I can still sense foreign thoughts in my head. If you want me to leave & never talk to you again, then say so. There is no reason to trick me with telepathy." *sighs as he sadly looks to the floor* "I'm used to being rejected. One more heartbreak shouldn't hurt too much."

"I said 'like adults' didn't I?" Elyon said, not adressing anything else. She took another sip from her cappuccino and continued. "But you're free to believe whatever you want. I have some stuff to arrange anyway." Such a dramaqueen... Tod was right. There's plenty of other girls around, yet Hornby considered his life to be a flop just because one girl isn't interested in him. She could do the same over Matt but she didn't. She was above that. She started sidetracking again too so once again she stopped herself from going any further...

Andrew: "What's there to talk about? She already made it quite clear that she chose Matt. All that's left is for me to forget about her & move on with my life. And I..." *looks up* "I was kinda hoping you could help out with that. You know, since Will stole Matt from you."

Elyon was about to slam the cup into the table and yell 'she did NOT steal Matt from me!' in anger but she managed to prevent losing her self-control in time. She took a moment to inhale. "I found someone else..." she stated. She opened her mouth to add to that but nothing came from her throat... Until she decided on: "I'm not sure if I'm the person you should ask for advice." Since I'm going to destroy everything anyway...
She took the final sip from her cappuccino and finished her drink in what was without a doubt a personal record. She looked into the cup for a moment to confirm that she was, in fact, finished. Then shoved it away from her. "Hey, listen..." She started, staring in front of her. "I have to go now."

Andrew: "Oh?" *looks a little disappointed* "Okay..." So much for that idea...
He sighs, then begins to gulp down his coffee.

Elyon slowly stood up and prepared to leave. "Maybe we'll see each other again..." she said, although she had her doubts. In fact, it would probably be better for Andrew's sake if they wouldn't... She turned and walked out the cafe. Back to finding Cedric...
