This is the library. It is an endless maze of books.
"Unless you've studied the area for several years (like Phobos or Lord Cedric) & gotten familiar with the branching paths, it'd be wise to wander far or you just might find yourself lost." [Phobos: Enter from Strategy Room] He grabs several books of dark arts from a shelf, then sits at a golden table & begins reading.

An elderly servant wanders in from around the corner.
Servant: "Oh, my Lord! I'm so glad I found you! I..."
In no mood to listen to the fool's chatter, the dark lord places his hand upon the man's forehead. Now would be a nice time to test the secrets of necromancy.
The servant's eyes open wide in shock as a dark aura surrounds his body. His heart becomes cold as ice. His body goes numb. His mind begins to forget who he once was.

When the evil deed is done, Phobos steps back to admire his handiwork. The vampire remains still.
Phobos: "Interesting..." *glances back at the book on necromantic lore & notices the part about being vulnerable to sunlight* "Yet, not good enough." *returns his gaze to the vampire* "Let no one approach me."
The vampire goes to stand by some bookshelves. The dark lord returns to his research.

Without warning, the vampire crumbles into ashes. Phobos: *rechecks the spell* "Hmph! It would seem a page is missing." He tosses the worthless book to the floor, then grabs another book & resumes his research.

After what seems like ages, Phobos finds a book about the Horn of Hypnos & the possible appearing locations. "O.O--this might be interesting." He reads the passage on the introduction page. "The Horn of Hypnos is a yellow-orange bulky mystical horn which turns its victims into zombie-like Trance Marchers. The Horn has a low pitch, which changes them. Once a victim becomes a Trance Marcher, they lack free will and the knowledge of how to attack and can only follow orders. The Horn only works when it is pointed at its victim; hearing the Horn is not enough to be turned into a Trance Marcher. In order to prevent the Horn from working, two methods of escaping the spell are either to put in earplugs, or to be under water, since this seems to distort the Horn's sound-waves & render it useless. When the spell is broken, the horn vanishes and reappears in a different location. To find a list of these locations, please turn to page 666." Phobos smiles. This is exactly what he needs to destroy those pesky guardians once & for all! He leaves with the book in hand. [Phobos: Exit to Strategy Room]
