At this point, Phobos looses interest & stops watching. He leaves the south tower.

"It's okay!" Elyon repeated again. "I'm serious! I'm okay!" She regained her calm attitude as quick as she lost it... After all, she was a princess now. She shouldn't allow herself to lose face in front of anyone. Not even Cedric. "I already told you. You were right. If I can't learn to control myself properly, I won't be able to make the most of my powers. You don't owe me an apology."

It's still isn't good.
Cedric tried to find the fastest way to make Elyon smile again. He needed her friendship, not her cooperation.
"Alright" he said slowly. Then he approached a rose bush. It was dried up and dead, but then Cedric moved his hand over it.d**n, I don't have enough magical energy left... He frowned and decided to use his blood instead. Cedric closed his eyes and slowly transferred enough of it to make the roses bloom again. Unlike Elyon, he wasn't a good enough magician to do such things without a sacrifice.
The world around him suddenly became much colder and now Cedric didn't need to use tricks to look pale anymore - he was as white as paper. I hope Elyon didn't notice my little trick.
Cedric plucked off one rose and presented it to Elyon. "Friends?"

Elyon lifted an eyebrow. What in the world was Cedric trying to accomplish? She already said it was okay, didn't she? Whatever made him doubt their friendship so easilly? "You already know the answer!" She forced a smile and a teasing tone. She actually wasn't in the mood to do either of those two heartilly... For a moment, she stood there, awkwardly silent... I probably have to accept the flower to make myself believable...
She took the rose from Cedric as soon as she figured that's what she was supposed to do, remained silent for yet another moment, then tried changing the subject... "Say..." Elyon started. "Do you have any advice on how to use my telekinesis?"

"Telekinesis... let's see..." It was hard for Cedric to just jump from one topic to another with his head spinning a bit- he felt like he forgot to do something important. I guess it'll have to wait.
Cedric sat down on the ground and started thinking "Well, of course, first you have to control your emotions... But I think you already know that. Also, when moving objects around, try to do it as gently as you can - as if the air around you would be thicker, like water. It's hard to explain."
"You can also imagine the whole world as a... large painting that you're painting from inside. Imagine that what you're doing is art - that you're changing the world around you as you please, but in the end it has to be beautiful - not a pile of rubble, but like a beautiful painting that people would love to look at and smile."
"I can't use telekinesis very well and I wouldn't be able to use it at all, if I wouldn't use my imagination that way."

The princess thought about it for a moment... "Like making art, huh?" She used to love drawing in her spare time... Phobos and Cedric even put up an art studio for her in the South Tower, but recently she didn't really feel like drawing anything...
"Thanks, Cedric." She continued. "I'll try that sometime..."

"You're welcome." Cedric replied "Now, is there anything else you'd like to know? Or maybe you'd like to try something new - or take a break?"

"Elyon, it seems that I have some urgent business in the Castle that I forgot about." Cedric said standing up. "It won't take long, but I really need to get some things done. That's why I'm talking about taking a break. If you're hungry or tired, make use of this time."
I'm the one who needs a break here he thought and smiled. "I'll be back soon, so don't be late! If you'll leave, that is."

"It's okay. I'll just wait---" Elyon tried to reply, but Cedric already left.
Elyon was left alone, in the clearing. Alone with what little joy remained in her as well as all the hatred that came in it's place... It was odd... Whenever she looked up to the stars or the sky, the only thing that would come to her mind was... Destroy them... She didn't really question why, though... It's been on her mind all day. You don't need them. Destroy them... It came back every so often, like a very hateful boomerang. It were the words Phobos whispered in her ear during her sleep, of course... The words that almost formed his own downfall... But also the words that could lead her straight into his evil mindset, and ultimately, his trap...
Elyon just sat there, alone in the clearing. Looking at the starry sky of night, thinking about those words... Not wondering why. Not wondering how... Just wondering when... When would Phobos allow her to destroy them all? The guardians... The rebellion... Kandrakar...

[Enter: Vathek from the Forest] Vathek entered the Clearing cautiously. He knew Cedric and Elyon were playing around with magic here, but he didn't knew how. Vathek expected to see something more interesting than the same old woods and a girl just sitting there. Elyon. It's strange - he came here full of determination, ready to spill out the truth, but now he didn't even know how to start.
"So..." Vathek mumbled, when Elyon noticed him. "Y-you must be the princess..." Then he remembered what that word means and bowed with respect. "Well, I am your loyal servant and all that... I serve Phobos, you see..." That's how idiots usually speak. Vathek thought and quickly continued. "There is one thing I have to tell you. Listen closely, for I might not get a chance to say it again - Phobos has eyes and ears everywhere. So..." You can still stop one part of his mind screamed Go back and take a nap, just like Cedric suggested. But Vathek didn't do that. Instead, he took a deep breath and spilled out quickly. "Look, princess. Everything's not the way you think it is. Phobos, Cedric - they're lying to you. I don't know what exactly are they telling you, but the truth is far from that. They are using you for their purposes, to gain power and to continue ruling... and torturing innocent people. You have to believe me!"

Silence ruled for a minute, as Elyon could slowly let Vathek's words sink in... Vathek seemed honestly relieved to have lost the heavy burden of the secret. Finally, she opened her mouth to speak...
"What are you talking about?"
"How can you possibly make a claim like that--" Elyon added, "When you admit you don't even know what I'm told? I'm not being used! On the contrary, in fact." She turned away from the big blue Galhot as she continued: "I'm not in the mood for pranks, sir Vathek. Perhaps my brother welcomes them more than I do..."

"I swear upon my honor and my blood that every word I said is true!" Vathek replied."There's no time for me to prove my words, princess! You have to believe!"
He looked back to check if Cedric wasn't coming back and then said. "I have a plan to prove my words, princess. You may not like it, but it's for your own good. I don't know if Cedric taught you to conceal your presence - knowing their plans he probably didn't. But when he'll be coming back, I'll approach him and start a conversation. All you have to do is listen! Please!"

"You're almost making me believe you're a rebel..." Elyon said in a calm tone, as she looked back at Vathek, throwing a glare eerilly similar to what Phobos' would look in this situation...
"But okay. I'll play along for a bit." she continued. Off course she played along. See who was the real liar here. She already had her own suspicion... "Give it your best shot."

"Alright, princess!" Vathek smiled brightly. "Just a little game, is it? This'll be easy! Next time I bump into Cedric or Phobos - knowing their vigilance, it'll probably be very soon - I'm sure you'll discover some new things about them."
Vathek lowered his head in respect. He really liked the way Elyon was moving - breathing - and looking at him. That was truly a noble bearing - not that of a tyrant.
"It seems you're taking a break now, right?" Vathek asked "Why don't you... follow me, your highness - I'll try to find Cedric right away."

"To be quite honest, I am actually waiting for lord Cedric to return here..." Elyon briefly glared as she put the emphasis on the 'lord' part. Vathek had just hearsay for evidence of his bold claims... Until he could convince her otherwise, she wouldn't tolerate disrespect from anyone... Phobos experienced that first-hand...
"It would be quite rude to just leave now, wouldn't it?"
