I'm sure I teared up for it, as well as when Cedric died. I think the only time that I really cried for something was in the comics when Will's dormouse died. That was just too sad, especially for those who have had to do that before

i hate the end in harry potter. he should have died is my opinion. *runs and hides* I agree. I think Harry should've died, or at least Ron or Hermione. I was begging the entire time for Ginny to die, because I'm a Pumpkin shipper, but no luck. It still wasn't that bad, though. And a WTF moment for me was an episode in Season 1 when W.I.T.C.H. was practicing and Tara got a eel down her back. And then Will started talking, but it was in Irma's voice! I was OMG that's so weird!

I actually liked the end of Harry Potter. It was a nice and sweet conclusion to the series. A lot of people think that Rowling chickened out on killing her characters, but I believe that it takes more will and strength to try to survive and deal with the hardships of your life and rebuild the future than to just give up and die. If Harry just gave up and let death overtake him, take the easy way out, what would we think of our story hero? That's what Rowling was kind of aiming for And it wasn't only in that episode. It happened quite a few times in the first season, as well as Irma's Guardian clothes colors being backwards

Some times killing off a character like that is a hard decision to make due to the backlash one may receive from some of the crazier fans out there.

I know, but I've heard her talk about it after the book was published and in the fans hands. She wasn't worried about fans hating her if Harry died. She just didn't want to portray Harry, after all of his years that we've known him, to be a person who would just give up, let death take him and take the easy way out of life. She wanted to prove that Harry was a great hero because even when faced with death, he made a choice that would bring him back to pain and suffering. But with that choice, he has the courage to keep going, to strive to live, and to try to rebuild the future. I agree that trying to live is a lot better than just letting yourself die

he did. He died sacrificing himself to save his friends. But then he was offered the choice to live again, even through a painful life, to continue to make the world a better place for everyone. If Harry died, then the world would have been a horrible place to be in under Voldemort but Harry was willing to endure his own pain so that nobody else would have to suffer. I'm not sure what else we could want from him
