in the us i think the w.i.t.c.h. cartoon was an epic fail
All cartoons fail in the United States.
If you don't know by now that WITCH was horribly mismanaged in the US you've been living under a rock.
Not all cartoons fail in the US. Does Avatar ring a bell? I’m not gonna go a list a bunch of cartoons but not all of them fail.
Children play video games instead of watching television (or parents simply don't let them watch television).
Children aren’t the only ones who watch cartoons plus not all of them only play videogames.
The U.S. modifies the shows until they are ruined (remove blood/violent action, changes names/music, alter the plot, taking the show off the air before finishing). Cardcaptor Sakura just happens to be one of my favorite animes that the U.S. just happened to ruin. The names were changed (Madison instead of Tomoyo), the story was changed (Sakura x Yuki was majorly down-played), & they didn't even finish all the episodes (stopped somewhere in Season 2).
You can blame Nelvana and Kids WB for that.
U.S. broadcast stations must have something against anime.
It all depends on who holds the license. Example: when 4kids held the license for One Piece they went around and modded a lot of stuff. However when FUNimation obtained it, they went back and restored what was changed.
I don't know about anyone else, but I can't find any cartoons on anymore--even cartoon Saturday morning seems to have come to an end.
Not many stations air morning cartoons anymore. The CW has their CW4Kids morning block on Saturdays but that’s it.
