Neither the comics nor the show speak of any other guardians. As such, Nerissa was the first Keeper of the Heart.

But that is a special. Only the information in the 7 arcs count.

But that is a special. Only the information in the 7 arcs count. Bullsh*t! The information in that special is just as valid as the information in the other arcs. It talked about how the universe and Kandrakar came to be. It also established the fact that there have been MANY guardians in the past. Not to mention it showed us the nymphs of creation and what Xin Jing REALLY looked like.

But that is a special. Only the information in the 7 arcs count. Wahahahahahahahahaha!!! Sure, discard all the stuff that tries to fill in plotholes. I, for one, have accepted the Elyon special's backstory of Meridian for truth. It made Metamoor one of the most interresting and developped worlds in the WITCHverse. It even got a few slight refferences in the fourth arc (with Endarno mentioning 'Escanors' and all). The only special I find highly unlikely is the Caleb half of the Corny/Caleb special. But sure, if you want to ignore those specials, be my guest. Just don't expect everyone to agree with you then

i was wondering. there's another member on this site with the display name Irma Lair. it'd be nice if there could be some marks that seperate me from that member. like putting me in that 'Water' member group instead of nadine. it's confusing seeing another me on the board

The two scenarios were merely a what if they had gotten together one way or another. The whole point of the special was to show why the couple couldn't work.

wow, Tridy and Ellie are right. Nerissa is definitely not the first Guardian. The Core of Kandrakar special proved that . You know, I'd like to read that one again because it was quite interesting
And in any case, just because in the comics and the show it never said that there were any Keepers before Nerissa shouldn't make it a fact that she was the first. Either way, the 5th special proved that she wasn't

Regardless of all this 'special' nonsense, Nerissa was still the Keeper of the Heart during Jon Ludmoore's time. My point remains the same.

It's not nonsense; it's proven fact. The reason why specials are made are to fill in some extra information that the actual series never covered or covered lightly But how'd you find that out?

Ludmoore was sent to Earth by Phobos; thus, he couldn't be very old. Since it's obvious that Will wasn't the Keeper yet, it had to be Nerissa.
(Either that or it had no Keeper due to Nerissa's imprisonment. Regardless, neither option lets the Heart of Kandrakar absorb some elemental stone.)

hmm, I actually doubt that there were active Guardians during Ludmoore's experiments, so it could have been during the period between Cassidy and Will, or even before Nerissa and the gang were the Guardians
but that's what I'm trying to say. Technically speaking even if the comics say it at times, Will doesn't have an element, so why would she have an elemental stone or a guard to protect it? The Keeper and the Heart are seperate. I understand what you mean though because in Issue #54 Collins tells Ludmoore's story and Will realizes that every element has a good and evil half. But from the looks of it, Will's evil half might be discovered at the end of Issue 74...leading into New Power
