[Enter: lord Cedric from Heatherfield Park] And so there he was, lord Cedric, a nobleman, one of the most important figures of Meridian, an extremely skilled fighter and an adept mage, participant in more battles than he could remember - right now he was just sitting there and hastily eating hamburgers. He planned to eat with Elyon, but when he finally saw food, he couldn't resist any longer. I'm probably gonna stay here for a while, if anyone needs me.

After Cedric's hunger was finally satisfied, he decided to go back to planning. He needed the guardians dead, but attacking them head on now, when they were all together, would have stupid - even with Elyon's help. Despite the fact that she wanted to look tough and determined, Cedric knew that she didn't change very much in that way. She was still very sensitive about things. Cedric's little disguise yesterday proved that. Elyon wouldn't have found the courage to kill anyone, especially if some "we were friends for years, how can you not believe me?" nonsense would get in the way. Cedric could easily imagine how... unpleasant such a scene would be and how dire the consequences. He had to act alone. The thought wasn't very pleasant. After all the lies and training he made Elyon go through, he still couldn't rely on anyone but himself. "Guess that's the story of my life." He said, standing up. Right now, the only smart move Cedric had was to disguise himself as one of the teachers of Sheffield Institute. He could turn invisible, it would have been a bit safer - but also less effective. He had to separate the guardians somehow and how was he supposed to do it while invisible? By grabbing one and running? Good plan. So shapeshifting was the best answer, if not the only one. Cedric paid for the food as quickly as he could, resisting the urge to kill the fat guy who didn't show him enough respect, and started walking towards the exit, still thinking. He had the plan, but what to do with Elyon? She's not gonna just wait for him in the bookshop all day. Maybe even now, she's looking for him. That wasn't a very pleasant thought. He didn't want her ruining all the fun by... well, interfering. If only he could trust her. Also, he had to choose which guardians to torment. Will and Cornelia, or the other three? Taking the first two out would have been a bigger accomplishment, with one being the keeper of the heart and the other one controlling the most powerful of elements - in Cedric's opinion. But the other three... well, there were three of them. And three is more than three. Plus, less danger of them transforming. And less risk. But risk was Cedric's game, so the choice was obvious enough. Besides, he couldn't stand Will's stupid face and had many dreams about finally getting to smash it. "The first two, then." Cedric told himself, leaving the place.
