I LOVE my birth stone, and my fav color is any shade of blue so I like it! There's just something about the sapphire that's really peaceful, like it has a deeper meaning to it because of it's deep blue color ^^

i like all those kinds! ;D and rubys remind me off the pure essence of blood (it's kinda creepy to think of a gem as a meaning of someting evil but... )

my former town's name is "Sho'am", means "onix". in the jewish temple, it was the gem of Joseph. there were 12 gems, each of one son of Jacob (from the bible): ruby- Re'uven (sounded likely?) topaz- Shim'on emerald- Levi turquize- Judah sapphire- Isa'achar diamond- Zvulun opal- Dan ?- Naftali (don't know the english name) amethyst- Gad ?- Asher onix- Joseph jasper- Binjamin

Binjamin was the youngest. it's my father's name.
Joseph became vice-Pharoh. BTW, "Pharoh" means "big house", so if he was europian jew he would called "Grossheim"...
