I agree about the whole inactivity thing. Honestly I think its a load of bull. Like I said in another thread willbrown the role of Phobos is all yours.

As long as I can be The Dark Prince when I return, I'm okay with handing over my title. Don't embarrass us New Prince Phobos.

Roger that!
Are any other substitutes needed while I'm at it?

which is why I made the new subbing system. I emailed Corny so hopefully she'll come on soon or we can at least find a sub

This is a very good idea, but it's incomplete. The administrators need to decide on a time limit. How long should the Shapeshifter (aka me) wait before it takes over an inactive character to progress the plot? I think two weeks is more than fair.
Suggestion: Have every member pick out subs for their characters. Why? First, the original members choose their own replacement (kinda like I got permission from Phobos) so they won't have any reason to be angry upon their return. Second, a thread of all the characters & their subs can be made. If the member doesn't post for two weeks, then the responsibility passes to the sub to post. If the sub doesn't post for a week, then the Shapeshifter goes into action.
I highly doubt I should have to choose a sub. But to be fair to everyone, I choose Elyon.

we originally stated that somebody has about a month, maybe a couple of weeks after for certain cases, until the character is openly available

That still doesn't explain when you'd like me to start subbing a character as Shapeshifter. Would you prefer I wait one week or two?

well usually we'd say that for normal subs who pick a character to sub, but the purpose of shapeshifter and altermere is to make a post every now and then whenever needed to progress the story (like if everybody is waiting for somebody to respond, and that person hasn't been on or hasn't RP posted in a while).

Yes, but when? How long should I let the forum wait before I interfere? That's what I'm trying to ask.

If you're just posting to let a conversation, battle, or action move along, then wait perhaps a week to post to get things moving again (unless the person that everybody is waiting on is pretty much inactive. Then you can post immediately, like if you wanted to sub some posts for lets say Cornelia then that'd be okay)

As you can see from the PM above, Tom/Caleb is a little too busy at the moment.
Is anyone interested in being a sub for Caleb?

If no one responds within a week, then I'll assume no one is interested in subbing for Caleb.
