[Phobos & Miranda: Enter from the Halls]
When they enter, Miranda is glamoured to look exactly like Elyon--dressed in the very same outfit that Master Jinks made. He continues to lead her forward until they reach a bench at the center of the garden. He stops, sits on the bench, puts Fake Elyon on his lap, & wraps his arms around her.
Phobos: She looks exactly the way my sister did when I last saw her. Her warmth is the same. Her scent is the same. And yet... I'm not feeling what I felt when I hugged Elyon. Why not? Is it because I know she is really Miranda or is it something more? *places a hand on Fake Elyon's bare belly* It's smooth & warm, just like the real Elyon. But the aura released is that of Miranda. I'm not sure why would effect how I feel. An aura is nothing more than the energy within one's soul. *sighs* I still can't unravel the mystery. Whatever it may be, it isn't important. I will kill Elyon & make her power mine. If Lord Cedric shoud interfere, then I'll turn him into a bug & sqash him! If only I had someone to replace him...

Why is he doing this?! She thought as pulled away from the prince
"Do you mind not doing that, cause I don't feel very comfortable with this. Can you change me back, ...please?" she said a little nervous

Phobos: "Yes yes, of course..." *removes the glamour from Miranda* "Happy now?"

Phobos: "I had some questions that needed to be answered. Judging from your reaction, it would seem you don't like me very much."

Phobos: "Don't worry." *smirks* "It's normal for kids to hate their parents. Although it might surprise you, I had parents once to you know. How else do you think I became so evil? I wasn't born evil." *forms a sad face & looks toward the floor as he remembers* "I was an energetic little boy--full of life & always eager to make others smile. But my parents..." *tears form in his eyes* "They hated me since the day I was born & made sure they reminded me on a daily basis. I was an unwanted child, an embarrassment, a disgrace, a leech, a-a--a boy. The law of Metamoor states that one's daughter is the rightful heir to the throne. They were always highly valued by the royal family. But a boy? No, they have no value, no honor, no worth. Boys were considered so worthless that some of my ancestors actually killed their sons immediately after child-birth. Pointless waste of good food, my father would say." *looks up at Miranda* "Know what hurt me the most? My parents were nice to everyone--servants, soldiers, peasants, mere beasts of burden..." *looks down in sadness* "Everyone but me... No matter how hard I tried, I could never please them. They always yelled at me & told me how worthless I was. They never cared about my accomplishments. They never paid attention to all the good I tried to do--cooking, chores, studying. I meant nothing to them. And when made a mistake..." *a tear falls down his cheek* "Father would take me to the torture chamber. He'd whip me, stretch my limbs on a race, keep me locked in a cell for days without food, or burn me with burning coals. He would always try to make me feel the most pain as possible. Get me as close to death as he could without actually killing me. Sometimes mother even came down to share in the pleasure. Oh, honey. You missed a spot. Let me see that whip, dear. Although I tried not to make any mistakes, they've always managed to find some excuse to torture me. Your hair isn't combed properly. You didn't say thanks for the meal. You didn't open the door for the servant. And did the people of Meridian care?" *glares at Miranda* "No! My parents had very powerful magic. They'd glamour themselves into prison guards & me into a prisoner on their way to the dungeon. They were always careful to vary which form they used to avoid suspicion. And when the torture was done, they'd heal me to remove the evidence. But they didn't always heal me. Sometimes, when they were in a bad mood for one reason or another, they would just put a glamour on me to hide what they did." *looks back to the floor* "Just imagine... How painful it must have felt to go days or even weeks to go about my daily tasks with burns, cuts, & bruises all over my body. When I told my tutor or my servants, no one ever believed me. My parents were kind to the people of Meridian & the people loved them. They could do no wrong. Why would such kind people do such things to their son? I don't know. They--they just did. And to make things worse, the servants always told on me when I tried to spread such lies about my parents. Guess what? They were sure to torture me each night I told my lies. Eventually, I learned to keep my mouth shut. I felt alone & unloved. The only thing that kept me going was the knowledge that I'd be king one day. And then..." *yanks Elyon's rose from the garden & crushes it in his hand* "And then she was born. My parents were so happy--almost overjoyed. They did everything they could do to please her. Little Elyon could do no wrong. Spill food on the floor--no problem. Cry all night--no problem. Break an expensive vase--no problem. Since they were so happy, you'd think they'd give me a break from my torture sessions. Wrong! They actually became more frequent. I thought of suicide. But on the day I was about to leap to my death from the room of my window, my eyes were opened." *drops the rose petals to the ground* "Why should I be the one to die? Why must my life end, while my tormentors live to have happy lives? I decided to kill them. The next day, I sneaked off to the library, & read a book on poisons. I was tortured that night--not for reading the book, since I was quick to put it back without being seen, but for sneaking away when someone was needed to change Elyon's diaper. The day after, I sneaked away again to collect the ingredients for the poison I chose & got tortured again. That same night, I made my poison & poured it down their throats. They died instantly. The fools! They didn't even see it coming. Unfortunately, the servant named Miriadel caught me with the poison & was quick to take Elyon away. I'm sure you know the rest."

Phobos: "First, you can stop calling me lord." *looks up at Miranda* "You are my daughter & no father has his daughter call him a lord. Or does the adoption annoy you? If you'd rather it was a lie..." *looks down* "I'll... I'll understand."

Phobos: "That's alright. I haven't been a very good father anyway. All I've ever done is treat you cruelly & take you for granted... Just like my parents did to me." *looks her in her eyes* "I don't want it to be that way anymore. I"m not going to remain in the shadow of my parents." *reaches for her hand but stops before touching her & pulls it back* "I don't want you to fear me anymore. I..." *looks at the whisperers* "I want to be a good father, I really do. But... I don't know how. Where would I start? What should I do differently? I... I don't know."
His is the price of Meridian--soon to be king. He should know everything! Yet, he truly knows nothing about being a caring parent. Full of anguish & shame at admitting his lack of knowledge & feeling horrible that he almost treated Miranda as bad as his parents did to him, he hides his face in his hands & begins to cry.
(Phobos is still sitting on the bench. While Miranda is standing about a foot away, if anyone got lost during his back-story.)

His crying goes silent as he decides to act on a plan, but his face still remains hidden by his hands.
Phobos: (telepathy to a soldier in the barracks) Bring Sniffer to my garden at once! (telepathy to a whisperer) Fetch me a birthstone ring from my treasury.

Miranda crossed her arms as she was thinking really hard, cause this was very confusing Did he really mean all of this? Maybe he was just fooling her, but he was..crying. This is all way to confusing.
Miranda had the urge to just walk away, she really didn't know what to say, maybe she said something wrong again..

Prince Phobos: *glances up to see Miranda cross her arms with an annoyed look on her face* Who am I kidding? The father-daughter relationship never even existed. It was just a lie to keep the brat from asking more questions. Besides... *brushes any tears from his face as he sits up straight* Love is for weak, pathetic, sissies! How could I have been such a fool to fall so low? *glares at Miranda* "Then it's decided then. You will tell no one what I just told you--about my past or my nonsense about parenting. If you do, your life will be forfeit. Do I make myself clear?"
