With an astonished look on his face that Elyon was(of course) unable to see, he scrubbed a little slower. "Elyon..."
Hadn't he been little testy with her sometimes? That mission to see if Phobos' visions were true...he'd snapped at her a couple of times...and even some part during dinner he felt as if he didn't want her around...
Suddenly the light escaped Cedric's face making it look very dull and grey.
"No of course not..." he said in a soft, nearly empty tone. When you lied or weren't sure of the truth about something, it seems no amount of effort could make sound real.

For once, Cedric's split tongue failed to decieve. Not for a moment did Elyon believe his words, seeing through his like like a windowless frame in the wall. "I'm so sorry, Cedric..." she softly said. "I'm so sorry for putting you up with me all the time..." She turned around and gave the man a hug, causing his blue robes to get wet with the water.
"From now on, I'm going to set things right... You'll see..."

"Don't apologize," he said in an ironically apologitic tone. "You haven't done anything! You've simply lived a life of lies. But it's over, all of those lies are finally gone, you're in a safer place now...a candid life awaits you..."
Still even with the utmost strain of effort, if he could hear his own hollow voice. How long was he supposed to keep up with this lying?
Until the coronation, he answered himself suddenly. Until Elyon's death date...
He didn't even want to think of that day. What it would be like. The happy look on her face, thinking she was going to be crowned instead of killed. The sinister look on her brother's face at the thought of finally ridding of his only obstacle between him and his throne. And the burning desire inside of himself, wishing he could grab Elyon and escape with her through a portal.
Then, there seemed to be silence. The only noise that was present in the room was the dripping of both Elyon and Cedric's robes. Finally his strength failed him. And like a ticking clock that had finally rang instead of waiting, he dropped the brush to the floor and had no intentions of picking it up again.

After a bit, Elyon released the man again. "I guess I should go to Phobos and listen to what he has to say..." she said, her voice revealing that she didn't feel like going as much as she claimed. "But Cedric... Can you promise me something before I go?"

"Anything," he answered suddenly. He got to his feet, ready to step out.

Elyon bit her lip for a moment. "Don't worry too much about me, okay? I'll be fine." She backed her statement up with a warm, assuring smile. "Now go ahead and do... whatever it is you're supposed to do now. I'll manage."

"Elyon...alright." He decided to take his own advice from earlier about not being too pushy and polite. He sighed and decided he'd go and sit in his chamber for a while. Maybe he needed to be alone and think in silence for a bit.

Elyon quickly managed to dry herself and braid her hair after Cedric left. She even managed to get her body into the fluttery purple garment that Cedric brought in earlier all by herself. It wasn't exacly what she had in mind, but then again, it might very well be a Meridian teenager-girl garment, considdering this wasn't really the place to be wearing jeans and sweaters. Elyon could just imagine Phobos wearing jeans and sweaters, making her laugh for a little. Perhaps he could pull it off better if he knew what a cone was...
"Speaking of Phobos..." she thought aloud. "Where'd he say I should meet him again?" Was she really such a scatterbrain that she forgot? Or maybe Phobos just forgot to tell her? Yeah right! Like he'd ever buy that!
No. He was probably waiting near his throne, like all important people tend to do. So then all that's left to do is get there and say hi, which shouldn't be too tough. With that in mind, Elyon left the baths for what they were, and headed straight to the throne hall.
