He paused. He wanted to tell her, but he couldn't. "...Nothing," he finally said. He took his hands off of her shoulders and looked down at his feet. He opened the door. "This is the room where your ball will take place. I hope you like it." He then walked away.

Elyon shrugged. Phobos was acting a bit weird, though she didn't bother thinking too much about it. He's the prince after all. He probably had a lot on his mind.
She walked through the doors, into a world of glitters and awe-inspire. The ballroom... It was... Elyon couldn't even find the right words for it! But then, her eyes found the other person in the room. And her awe visiably turned into happiness. Cedric!

"Elyon!" Cedric's smiled gleamed happily more than usually as he ran and opened his arms to hug her. She was always a sigh of relief to him.
"Elyon! I'm so glad you're here, I was going to show this room when you woke up, but it looks like you already found it!"

"It's all so beautiful!" Elyon commented, hugging Cedric back. Everything in Meridian had this remarkable tenancy to awe-inspiringly beautiful, and indeed, the ballroom was no exception. It was tough for Elyon to believe she could ever fit in. It seemed so impossible. But Cedric's here too. Certainly, he'd be able to help her out of this predicadment...

"I'm glad you like it, we were worried gold wouldn't be good enough," Cedric let go of her but stroked her messy, straight-out-of-bed hair. "Elyon, have you thought of what you're going to be wearing?"

"I have." Elyon said, not letting go of Cedric just yet in order to delay her snapback to reality. "But I really have no clue. I'm not even sure what's the custom..." Finally releasing the man, she looked him in the saphire eyes. Not really sure if she should ruin the moment by bringing in another problem. But then again, if she didn't drop the subject now, she might never... "I guess I'll have to wash up before the ball, though..."

"Oh! Understood..." Cedric bowed and took her by the hand as he would've if she were crowned Queen.

'Understood'... It was a bit strange, but Elyon felt as if Cedric wanted to be close to her, but at the same time tried to keep his distance... One moment being so... like herself, and then another acting more formal and Phobos-like... As she noticed this all, she followed the man through the halls, to wherever he would take her...

Elyon gave Cedric a look of insecurity, which slightly daunted Cedric. But as he had to keep encouraging Elyon to enjoy life in Meridian(while it still lasted) he kept a smile on his face as if there were no unsure feelings.

[Enters from Throne Room]
Phobos looked in the ballroom one last time. Sneering at the bright, beautiful colors, he left to the throne room once more.

[Enter: Cedric from Cedric's chambers]
Cedric walked in and watched the fearful and anxious Meridian workers, cooks, and decorators quickly running around to ready the ballroom for the ball that would start in a little over an hour. Cedric felt so tired, yet so restless. There were so many conflicting emotions spinning tightly in his fake human stomach.
He began wondering how Elyon would react if she saw his true form. He shivered and beat away the thought like an annoying fly.
I can't think of this right now! All I need to do is make sure that Phobos' ball for Elyon goes as planned and that she finally fits in here.

*Cedric yawned in boredom as he watched servants work on getting the grand ballroom ready. He noticed the time and looked around the place. The room was coming along nicely, but it just wasn't getting done fast enough*
"Work faster or Phobos will have your heads!" Cedric yelled angrily.
"And mine," he whispered softly. He huffed and decided that the idiot servants needed more help. He would usually have sent another servant or someone of a lower rank to fetch the ragged people, but Cedric was very anxious and needed to get out of the room. Besides, yelling at someone else might make him feel less nervous.
"Pathetic," he said as he walked past the feverish servants, across the hall, and way down into the servants' corner

[Enter: Guardians and Cedric from Servants' Corner]
*Will kept her head low and walked in a quiet somber state that the other workers for Phobos were usually in as they did their chores, considering she didn't want Cedric to recognize them. Although this was true, Will really did feel sad as she pushed a cart of food with Hay Lin and Taranee helping her as the group followed Cedric up to the Castle Ballroom*
This is so horrible...we have to find a way to get Phobos off the throne so that these people can live better lives
*Will finally lifted her head and had to catch herself as she almost gasped in surprise. The grand ballroom was beautifully decorated and the food smelled wonderful*
And this is all for Elyon? Phobos must be up to something. We have to find her

Hay Lin tried to look inconspicuous, helping Will and Taranee push the cart of food into the large ballroom. She didn't spot Elyon anywhere around, but there was a lot of activity happening around them. And it smelled wonderful! Coming in here after seeing the servant's corner was like stepping into a different world, but the clothes they were wearing were a reminder that this ball was sort of like a glossy cover for what was really happening.
Ooh, everything smells so good in here! When was the last time we ate? I wish I could fly up to get a better view of the whole room - what if Elyon shows up and we don't see her? Nervous thoughts buzzed in her head, and she looked at Will for any sort of instructions now that they were here.

Taranee connected the guardians telepatically so they could talk without being heard
It looks like the ball is about to start soon. We should signal the rebels as soon as we see Elyon.
