Elyon: "Find him! And do it quickly!!"
Vathek: "But Princess, I'd rather not leave you here alone. Not tonight..."
Elyon: "Go!!"
Vathek shrugs, then goes to the wall & attempts to jump up to the hole in the wall. He misses. His fat bulk prevents him from jumping high enough. Regardless, he tries again & misses again. __________ Once he turns a corner, Jarod forgets stealth & runs as fast as possible.

[Enter: Cedric from the Ball Room]
Cedric jumped. A shrill, girly voice yelled along the halls. "E-Elyon?!" He turned to finally see her majesty as he had never seen her before. Elyon was angrily. No, she was furious. It almost frightened him to such an expression across such a beautiful face...
"Elyon..." His face was full of concern as he took one and only careful step toward her. He didn't dare touch her in her current state. "Elyon, princess, what has angered you?"
His voice was soft and consoling.

[Enter: Guardians from the Castle Ballroom]
Another Hall...at the moment
*The Guardians looked both ways as they exited the doors. It didn't take long for them to let out gasps of horrified surprise*
"Oh my god!" Will could hardly whisper. All of the color disappeared from her face. "What happened?"
*There were bodies everywhere outside of the ballroom. Fallen rebels...Will looked to the side to see other rebels silently crying over their friends and comrades*
"What happened?" Will repeated softly, directing her sad brown eyes to the other rebels.
"A-A soldier," one of them started. "He was after Caleb..."
Guard: "Wait, who exactly are you? We are under orders to let nobody out of the ballroom" *Will turned around to give the guard an icy glare. He took a surprised step back*
"We don't have time to deal with you," Will nearly hissed. This was so horrible! Phobos promised peace, for tonight at least. How could this have happened?
"Which way did Caleb go?"
Rebel: "That way," he said, pointing to the nearby hall.
"Thanks, we'll help him. And I'm really sorry for your loss," Will said, giving another sad glance at them with her friends as they continued to run in the direction in which Caleb had gone. They had to at least try to save him before he got hurt

Irma was shocked. The mere sight of the bodies of the fallen rebels made her stomach twist and turn. Her hand hugged Hay Lin's tightly as the guardians started to move. First slowly, still paralyzed until Irma said with un-restrained anger and coldness in her voice. "Lets get him..." the others glanced at her for a short second and Will only nodded. And the guardians started to run through the halls, in the search for Caleb.

That supposed 'captain of elite soldiers' managed to upset her so much, she was afraid she'd take it out on Cedric if she didn't pay attention to everything she did... "That Janor guy... He ruined everything... Attacked unarmed people, and he almost attacked Phobos too!" Merely mentioning Jarod and his actions almost renewed her anger, and it wasn't difficult to tell it did... But with her current control of her powers, Elyon was afraid to actually do more than just talk...

You should probably punish that oaf while you're at it
Miranda's voice ringed in his head. It wasn't the fact that Jarod had ruined this whole "peace" thing because he knew it was all a lie anyway. He wished Jarod would have killed Phobos...
And it wasn't even the fact that he'd almost blown their cover, either. It was the fact that he'd angered Elyon that made him wish to go after the idiot. How much he had changed. It was only Elyon he took into consideration these days...
"I'm so sorry he ruined your night, princess," he mumbled sincerely. "If you can tell me where he went, I'll gladly punish him."

Still without turning to face Cedric, Elyon merely lifted her hand and pointed towards the large gaping hole in the wall that Vathek finally managed to get through. "Worst of all is..." she softly spoke, trying to turn her anger into sadness, with very little progression. "I can't do anything about it. All I can do is release my powers and hope something helpful will happen..." If only she could help somehow... It would save Cedric, Vathek and later Phobos a lengthy search for that sorry excuse for an obediant servant...

"You are not to do anything of the sort," he said in a tone that was neither harsh nor commanding. "It's our job to give rid of pests like that, especially if they upset the princess."
He was scared to leave her, but that soldier had caused too much commotion tonight. If he didn't punish him now, Phobos would do it later anyway. "Elyon, I want you go back to the ball room. I'll take care of everything."
Cedric goes through the hole, putting all of his concentration on finding Jarod...

"I will, Cedric..." Elyon hesitantly said. She actually didn't feel like returning to the ballroom and all of it's guests with their fake smiles. But she felt even less like defying Cedric, the man who's willing to do anything to help her, and one of the few in this world that actually understands her... "I will, in a minute..."

"Can you hear anything Hay Lin? I think I just heard voices. Maybe Caleb is nearby?"

Hay Lin clapped a horrified hand over her mouth when they came across the bodies. Was this what Phobos had planned for the rebels? This was horrible! She couldn't bear to look at the fallen bodies, and forced herself to stare at the back of Will's head as they ran through the halls, since hers was the brightest. "I'll try to listen in," she whispered, as the sound of distant voices reached them. She stood stock still and closed her eyes, wanting to focus as much as possible since there were a lot of hallways here. After a moment she cupped her hand around her ear, pulling passing breezes towards her until she found one that carried sound waves. It was fairly close, so it wasn't hard to change its course, pulling it to her ear so she could hear the conversation. The voices were now loud enough to her that they could have been right in front of her, which made her feel like less of an eavesdropper. And anyway, she wasn't trying to listen in on silly gossip or anything, this was much more serious.
"It's not Caleb," she whispered, her dark eyes still closed, "I think it's...Elyon." She'd only gotten a little snatch of conversation so far, but the feminine voice had been familiar.

"Elyon? Really?" Will asked with a little surprise as they kept running. "So when she disappeared she was escaping the party into the halls?"
If Elyon is ahead of us, then where is Caleb, and Phobos, and then others that we don't want to meet up with?
*Will sighed. She hoped that there wasn't a big confrontation with Elyon if they did happen to see her up ahead. Afterall, she seemed to really hate them for some reason*

Vathek scratches his head as he tries to decide which direction he should go. Suddenly, something (no one other that Lord Cedric himself) falls on top of him & they topple to the floor (with the snake-man on top).
Vathek: "Is it too much trouble to ask you to look before you leap?"

But she felt even less like defying Cedric, the man who's willing to do anything to help her, and one of the few in this world that actually understands her... "I will, in a minute..." Cedric thought he heard the tiny voice say something else but it might have been his imagination. He trusted Elyon enough to protective herself for a while...not that he didn't worry. But his main priority was Jarod. If he was going to anger Elyon to that extent again...no...he couldn't risk Elyon's mood ruined...not when she had such little life to live... He was so caught up in his usual frenzy over Elyon that he'd went from searching to wandering. Not really knowing where he was going, he absent-mindedly found an opened door that lead to other rooms... [Exit: Cedric to the Servants' Corner]
