"So that means we still have a minute then, right?" Elyon asked. She took note of Cedric's neatly combed blonde hair before letting go of him. "So before it starts, can you please teach me something cool?" she anxiously requested. She was dying to know more of this magical force within her. After all, Phobos and Cornelia already had headstarts... And only Cedric could ensure she could keep up with their enemies, and live up to Phobols' expectations... "Please, Cedric?"

Cedric looked at her and pondered. Phobos had been bragging for years of Elyon's possible abilities, almost like a real older brother would. His favorite was hypnotizing people, because he knew that was one talent he was obviously deprived of.
"Something cool, huh? Well, if you ask me, I think the ability to hypnotize people is pretty cool! It's quite simple for someone as powerful as you, Ellie. For you, it takes a simple glance.
All you have to do think strongly of what you want the person to do. Think of a command. Then look deep into their eyes, like you're booring into their soul. You can test on me right now, if you like. And I don't mind what you command me to do. I'd do anything for you, Ellie."
"Aw. You're so sweet..." Elyon said, hugging Cedric, even though she barely released him two seconds ago. "You know I can't do that to you..." she giggled.
It would be cool if she could test it on someone though... Any random servant also doesn't seem like a good idea, since they did what they were ordered to do, regardless if they're entranced or not... "Oh, hey! Do you think I could do that to pull a prank on Phobos sometime?" Elyon jokingly asked. She could just see the big powerful man do something silly at her request...

"Oh yes!" And he immediately filled with regret that he was about to lie to Elyon. But if things didn't go Phobos's way...
"Phobos and I were talking about the rebels. You see Elyon, for years now, all we've wanted of them was peace. We don't like having to fight them, having to hurt them, but what choice do we have? They keep attacking us, Ellie! We're guessing that the rebels will be arriving at the ball...
"The rebels seem to have a real liking for you, Elyon. Well, all of Meridian does. You're such a strong influence upon the people of Meridian...Phobos thinks you could talk to them, since they won't listen to us. The rebels love you, and he's convinced that if you want peace, well, maybe..."
He stared deeply into Elyon's eyes, wondering if he had caught her yet. He was almost impressed at how natural acting was to him. The scripted lines just flowed out of his mouth with ease, as if he hadn't a clue of Phobos's true cruelty...
"The rebels?" Elyon repeated. She turned away for a moment and thought about what Cedric just said... "So Phobos wants me to talk to the people who want to kill him?" Something felt fishy...
"Oh, wait! I get it!" she suddenly exclaimed. Elyon already caught onto what she believed to be Phobos' intention... "Well, allright then..." she said, turning back to Cedric. "So what does Phobos want me to say?"

"Well it's all up to you, Elyon. Phobos has tried telling them he'll give them whatever they want if they'd just leave him be (since there's no hope they'll give him a chance). Phobos sees you as a very bright and influential person, Elyon."
Positively speaking, he thought bitterly.
"He says you're much more smarter than he is when it comes to people. He knows that you're a kind person, so you would know what to say in a situation like this..."
...taking complete advantage of your kind, loving heart! Another angry thought stung at him. But he was so used to thinking differently from what came out of his mouth, his face didn't do so much as twitch when she didn't notice.
"Really?" Elyon asked. "He really said that?" she giggled. "He's so modest sometimes... I'm sure he just said that to make me feel more confident." Inapropriately cheerful, Elyon started skipping the first few steps toward the ballroom, quickly stopping and waiting for Cedric to catch up. "I'll see what I can come up with then..." she added. "Be sure to let me know who these rebels are when you see them, okay Cedric?"
[Enter: Elyon (invisible) from the Castle Ballroom]
Having escaped the turmoil of the supposed festivities, Elyon was startled to discover more guests were waiting in line behind the doors. Using her state of invisibility, she quietly sneaked past them and behind a corner of the corridors. Briefly, she peeked back at them, noting how these new 'guests' were dressed significantly different from the already present ones... But she quickly turned around and wandered further into the hallways. If she remembered correctly, this hall would lead to...

[Miranda: Enter from Castle Ballroom]
Ballroom Guard: "Um..."
Miranda glares at him with an extremely scary look as she walks past without stopping.
Ballroom Guard: "Nevermind."
When she turns a corner & is sure that no one can see, tears flow freely down her cheeks as begins to run at a fast pace.
[Miranda: Exit to Servants' Corner] [Jarod: Enter from Castle Ballroom]
Ballroom Guard: "Um Sir...?"
Jarod leaps out of the ballroom, takes out his lightsaber, & slices a hooded figure right in half (creating two equal halves) as he lands in the middle of the cluster of cloaked men.
Ballroom Guard: "..."
Without stopping momentum, Jarod quickly lays waste to two more unarmed rebels. Just as he is about to decapitate a fourth...
Caleb: "Jarod stop!" *lowers his hood* "It's me you want. Leave them out of this."
Jarod stops his weapon just in time, but doesn't let the rebel off the hook completely. He kicks him in the groin, then spin kicks him at Caleb (thinking the rebel leader would attempt to catch his injured comrade). He charges & attempts to slice off his head. Ignoring the injured rebel against his wishes, breaks into a roll to dodge, leaps to his feet & runs off.
Jarod: "Da#n you, you coward! Stay & fight!"
He runs after the rebel leader, hacking at anyone who dares get in his way.
The surviving rebels crowd around the fallen & begin to cry. They await their fate.

Alaric: *sees Caleb turn a corner & head his way* What's gotten into him? *sees Jarod follow, cutting anything in his path* The servant must have done something really nasty to get him to act like that. *hears the approach of footsteps from the throne room* I better stop thief before Phobos gets here, or I'll be sent to the dungeons. "Halt!"
He runs up to Caleb. Caleb easily dodges the assault, but trips over an abandoned mop bucket & goes flying.
[Phobos: Enter from Throne Room]
Phobos: "Alaric, why aren't you...?"
Caleb smashes into Phobos & they tumble to the ground. Alaric attempts to stop Jarod so he doesn't accidentally hurt Phobos in the process. Unfortunately, Jarod cuts him in half & leaps into the air as he swings his saber in an attempt to decapitate Caleb.
