[Oracle enters from Meditation Chambers]
The huge hall was silent, as it was centuries ago. Recent event were the cause of turmoil in the Fortress. Ever since the darkest hour of Kandrakar it had been this way, and it would continue this for sometime. For Phobos had gained a major advantage. Elyon was on his side now... for the moment.
'Sometimes you have to lose a battle to win the war.'
Although he had been the Oracle of Kandrakar for a long time, he still retianed a fraction of his warrior mentality. He wouldn't yield to such minor defeats. So he erased all of his concerns about the future, for the moment the welcoming ceremony was important. Still... he knew some elders would try to bring up the topic.
*Oracle stood before the council. He examined each one of the eldars.*
Yan Lin was standing right in front of him. She was smiling in her usual way. A smile that usually hide great worries. There was no need to divine her thoughts.
*With a small gesture he salutes Yan Lin and whispers to her.*
"Your granddaughter is fine."
After that Yan Lin relaxed. As for the other elders, Luba seemed to be missing.
'Probably still protesting my decision about the guardians...'
*Oracle spoke with a clear and loud voice.*
"Elders of the congragation! Today we rejoice as the final guardian of the last generation is ready to join among us. You all have agreed that Yan Lin should be granted the title of elder of the council and summoned her to the great hall. Now we shall hear her answer to your invitation. Honourable Yan Lin, repeat your oath before the council."
As Yan Lin finished the oath, The hall filled with the deafening sound of applausing elders. The Oracle thought about the past; he wished there were five new elders instead of one. Yet, the past could not be changed. Now they had to look at the future.
And the future resided in the hands of five new guardians.

Luba left the chamber of the auramers and entered the Meditation Chamber to join the other Elder like herself, just missing the joining of Yan Lin to their ranks. She remained at he door, he white robe billowing slightly as the wind rushed by. It was true, Luba didn't believe that the new Guardians didn't have what it takes to be guardians, they were too young and inexperienced to take the positions.

"You weren't at the ceremony, Luba," Tibor said as he turned around. "Why weren't you?"

*Luba speoke without facing Tibor.*
"You know I don't approve Yan Lin joining the elders. And I will continue to oppose Oracle's decisions until he gives a resonable explanation for them."
Luba was aware of the risks she was taking but it was for the sake of the Fortress and all the worlds it watched over. For everyone's sake she hoped the Oracle was doing the right thing.

"It doesn't matter now," Tibor said, walking toward her, "She is now one of us, and there's nothing you can do. The Oracle needs not to explain himself to you or anyone else. Just be content knowing that he does all that he does for a reason."

Luba knew he would say that. Well, any elder would have said something similar. She was alone in this struggle.
"True. There is nothing I can do about this. But mark my words Tibor."
*Luba turned with great speed and this time faced Tibor.*
"Even if the guardians restore peace in Metamoore, they will fall one day. And that day will be the end of Kandrakar. Last time that almost happened. We must learn from our mistakes but instead we are repeating them."
*She then slowly headed for the exit.*

"Before you leave," Tibor said, "remember. Yes it almost happened, but it didn't, did it? You must have faith, Luba. Not only in the Oracle, but in the Guardians....and yourself."

*Luba stopped for a moment and sighed. She spoke in a sad tone without turning around.*
"I have faith in myself or I wouldn't be fighting so hard... Hmph, it may surprise you but I believe in the guardians as well. I know they will try their best. The real problem is, will their best be enough?"
*Luba left the hall quickly without giving a chance for Tibor to answer back.*
[Luba leaves to the Hall of Aurameres]

*Tibor stood there as Luba walked off*
"Since you believe in them," he said, "try believing in the one who appointed them."
*He walked out of the Great Hall to join the others in welcoming Yan Lin*

Oracle had been listening to a certain conversation for sometime. The exchange of ideas between Tibor and Luba was far more important than anything right now. A contention in the Fortress would be disastrous at this delicate moment.
*Oracle waited for Tibor to return and congratulate Yan Lin.*

*After congradulating Yan Lin, Tibor turned to the Oracle*
"Have you been listening?" he asked.

Oracle didn't find it necessary to answer the question his advisor already knew. Yet, he was clearly impressed by Tibor's skill in handling the situation.
'I should follow the advice he gave Luba and have faith in myself. Once again I'm glad that I made the right decision by choosing him.' "She still blames me for that case. And I can't deny it either."
'I had to do it. A sacrifice was needed. Otherwise...'
*From the window nearby the Oracle gazes into skies of Kandrakar.*

"Do not worry yourself, Oracle," Tibor said, placing his hand on the Oracle's shoulder, "It wasn't your fault. You did what was needed to be done. No one can ask for you to do more than that."

If only it was that simple. Calculating every single action in order to get the best outcome was a serious job. A seemingly insignificant mistake could end in a catastrophe.
"The responsibility of everything happened back then belongs to me, my friend. Whether it was a fault or not, only time will show us."
*Oracle walked towards the crowd of elders and raised his hand drawing everyone's attention. He then spoke to Yan Lin.*
"You have my most sincere felicitations, honorable Yan Lin."
*He then raised his voice and spoke to the crowd.*
"Elders of the great council. Today we have all witnessed a historic moment in Kandrakar. Yan Lin, former guardian of the element air is now one of us. I hope her services to the Fortress as an elder will be no less than when she was a guardian. But this joyfull moment must come to an end. There is a crisis on Meridian and we can no longer turn and blind eye to it. From now on every elder will do their job to assist the guardians in their quest to restore peace in Metamoore. Now I request that each elder return to their duties."
With this the elders began to leave the hall of congragation.
*Oracle turned towards Tibor to be sure if he had anything more to say.*
