As far as I can tell, the veil may very well have been raised because of Morgon, but continued to serve it's purpose when other evils started to surface in Meridian. But that's my speculation.. This

yeah, I was confused on that as well
and great Ellie! You hit on everything I was thinking about and more. I guess some things are really a mystery that can't be solved until the creators say so

Morgon was only briefly mentioned once, in a special. So allow me to quote: The history of Metamoor starts there! Our world was threatened by the brigands Kahedrin! The Oracle of Kandrakar was asked for help, and he saw in Escanor the saviour of our world. The prince accepted, and with his four companions: Hoël, Didier, Grendal and Brandis, he fought alongside the Galhot! A winner appeared at the end of that endless war. The final battle against Morgon, the king of the Kahedrin, was legendary! That's from the first Elyon special (or at least the version I read), which is also one of the few issues to adress Metamoorian history. Also, I'll proceed to say that I'm not the only geek who noticed the 'Morgon' concept. Relatively famous artist, beginner150 took a lot of liberty, and drew this drawing of the guy. Off course, since only his hand was ever shown, it is non-canon. But yeah. That's Morgon.

Before anyone asks the Galhot are Vathek's race. Thanks for the description Elyon. Man that story would make an awesome special.

i have a question, to be answered in issue 69(was it) when they visited all those worlds under kandrakar, when they visited arkhanta, the scarlet citadel was there, but when they free'd Yua, she took back everything she had granted, so if the citadel existed thanks to her, then why is it stil lthere in issue 69

What the heck was up with that? Plothole perhaps?

It was kinda stupid actually. It's like it was "Disneyed" or something.

maybe perhaps since Yua was sad that she almost hurt Maqi, she gave Ari that stuff as a gift? Okay, perhaps that's a long shot but it could be possible. They might have come across some magic or fortune and built it themselves
Or the creators aren't paying attention to little details, but what else is new

I'm honestly beginning to think that Alessandro Barbucci, Barbara Canepa, and Elisabetta Gnone aren't involved with Witch anymore.
