Evening was closing in on Simultech Office, the sky had a hazy orange aura about it. Light peeked through the window blinds, Susan's shadow was emphasied upon the office's plain white walls.
She spun lazily in her chair, lost in her thoughts. Lately Will's been very secretive. She always would rather spend time with her friends rather than her own mother. Susan noticed Will's recent behavior, but she decided to keep brushing it aside.
She is a teenager, after all, Susan comprimised. But she just couldn't help but think there was something wrong...
Susan sighed. Amanda was supposed to bring up some printed documents. Sure was taking her time...

It was getting late, and Amanda didn't show up. Susan yawned and decided it was time to go home. After all, Will must be cranky from waiting so long. [Exit: Susan to Some Street]

[Enter: Susan from some street]
Amanda had came back from her (longer-than-necessary) lunch break. "Hello, Amanda."
"Oh hi!! Sorry that break took so long...ahaha! I guess I tend to graze rather than eat."
Susan chuckled. It was hard to stay mad at Amanda; she had known her since college. Not as long as some of her other friends, but those she had lost contact with anyway. She knew Amanda much later; she'd stick around for a while. "Don't worry, I had a nice, hot panini, so I guess I wasn't so quick either."
They both laughed lightly (well, Amanda was bit louder). "Okay, okay, back to work."
Once in her office, Susan began planning for the next upcoming meeting. Everything was neat and organized; she hated a messy office. Amanda went to the one next door after waving to Susan. Immediately, Susan could hear muffled ringing and Amanda giving the usual greeting.
Susan jumped when she heard her phone ring suddenly.

She held at her throat and said, after clearing her throat, "Hello, who may I ask is speaking?"
"No need to be so formal, Susan," said a man with a slight chuckle to his voice. Susan jumped (this time with excitement) when she recognized the voice.
"Dean! Oh, I didn't expect you to call! How are you?"
"Great! Just called to say hello..."
"Hello..." she giggled. She always felt kinda giddy and girlish when he called.
He let out a light chuckle. "Actually I was wondering if you were free later on tonight..."
"Oh..." She fanned herself. She was beginning to blush. "Um, yes, actually I am..."
She could hear a smile in his voice. "Well, um, would you like to have dinner with me at Lodelyday?"
"Oh...sure, absolutely! But it's rather expensive..."
"I've got it all taken care of! No need to worry..."
"Well, alright..."
"I'll see you there?" It was no longer a question.
Susan nodded and remembered he couldn't see it. "Absolutely...I'll see you later."
"Good bye."
"Bye."
She sighed. She felt as if she were in high school all over again, being asked to the prom...but now it wasn't a small burger joint, it was Lodelyday! The most expensive restaurant in all of Heatherfield. In fact the most expensive in all of the area around it, except for a French cuisine much further down, towards the beach.
It took her a couple of minutes to get over what just happened. Finally she breathed and concentrated on planning so as to distract herself from the anticipation of a much-awaited date.
