lol, just because he has brawn doesn't mean that he has no brains. Did you really pay much attention to him in the comics and show? And he's supposed to be the captain in the first place

They never really said his rank in the comics.

maybe they did and maybe they didn't, but still nobody outside of Phobos, Cedric, and Vathek were seen to order Guards around...although in Issue 3 Cedric is seen to be yelling at Vathek about "his guards"

That's merely because there were no elite soldiers in the comics.

Because I found a thread that said Phobos had elite soldiers, so I merely put them to use.

They never really said his rank in the comics. Like I said somewhere else (I read this thread after making that reply ) Vathek is Cedric's right-hand man. If that doesn't mean he's captain of the elites, then it means he's above even that. In fact, I think Vathek even outranked Frost in the comics, which means a lot.

Vathek is higher up than Frost. The rank in power/authority goes like this:
1. Phobos 2. Whisperers 3. Cedric 4. Vathek 5. Frost 6. Who cares

Since Kushiel & Jarod are both variations of whisperers, I must agree with the wise Keeper of the Heart.
If you want to give Vathek a promotion, then do so. You are a princess after all. (Phobos will do no such thing.)

lol, Vathek doesn't need a promotion ^^ he should already be there
and how is that possible that your made up guys are whisperers? That goes against all the logic presented in the comics about how whisperers change from plantlike humans to people who can think and act on their own

Well... He's not.
He was demoted as a result of whatever task he failed to complete in the old forum.
You might want to re-read the scene with Phobos & Miranda in the garden. The annihilator, that Phobos creates, is Kushiel.
Jarod, who was created to be Caleb's replacement (after the rebel leader went rogue) & of course kill Caleb, went though a similar transformation as Caleb. He spent too much time flirting with girls (using a human illusion at first, until a natural human form developed) & became too honorable/chivalrous. Until he went berserk, the honor of being able to serve Elyon was what kept him from turning against Phobos. He knows full well that he was nothing more than a replacement. As such, he feels a need to prove himself. (Since OC's have yet to be approved & Jarod's role in the RPG has nearly reached its end, there is little reason to explain his back-story further.)

I'm not saying that's wrong and that I overlooked anything. That still doesn't solve my question since Annhilators are just more than stronger and more powerful whisperers without the ability to think for themselves. The only ones who can act like humans, have emotions, etc. are the ones who realize that they hate how Phobos rules over Meridian and will themselves to transform to fight him and all that he represents, for example, Caleb.

Are you saying that hating Phobos & serving only for Ellie's sake, isn't enough to cause a change similar to Caleb's?

Are you saying that hating Phobos & serving only for Ellie's sake, isn't enough to cause a change similar to Caleb's? I wouldn't know. But I am saying that this way, you're totally destroying that which makes Caleb special.

So... There're five guardians but that doesn't remove their specialness. Why should two human whisperers be any different?
