[Enter Hay Lin from Entrance Gate]
Hay Lin rushed through the door of History 2B, clutching her schoolbag to her chest. "I'm on time! I'm on time!" she said, looking wide-eyed at Irma and the teacher. It felt strangely that she had walked in on something...probably better to ignore it. She took her seat quietly, pink in the face from her initial outburst.

"On time for what, hmmm?" Cedric asked, for this was a good way to end his and Irma's dangerous conversation. "To hear that you're late? Well, you sure are on time for that." Don't be so hostile... at least not yet. "But nevermind." 'Collins said, walking to his desk. "Let's start the lesson, we wasted enough time already." He examined Collin's papers one last time, before venturing into the labyrinth. Not too many notes. Collins was obviously keeping most of the information in his head, like a good teacher should. Cedric could have tried to obtain it, but he didn't want to end up standing before the guardians with no powers. Maybe if someone would give him a head start... "Miss Lair." 'Collins glared at Irma. "What do you know about the English civil war?"

"I dunno. It's English?" said Irma. "You're the teacher, teach it to us."

"Your attitude is killing me, miss Lair." Collins complained. "Do you have no respect for the country that is a part of our own history? Besides, I have to test your knowledge, not just teach you things. So please answer the question - seriously this time."

"How's this for an answer: I don't know." Irma snapped. "How am I supposed to know anything about a topic you never taught about."

"Good point." Collins nodded. "Then, if you don't mind, I'll tell you something about it."
He started walking back and forth in front of everyone, trying to remember as much as he could about the English civil war. "So there was this king of England, called Charles I... of England. He was quite stubborn and independent, but also not suitable to be a good kind. He lacked strategic and tactical reasoning and was usually driven by desire, not reason. He made a lot of wrong choices and angered a lot of people. Besides, he didn't care about people's religion much and in England religion was a really important thing. So one day Charles decided to force all the Scots to change their religion. They didn't like it and resisted it, beating Charles' armies and even invading southern England. Imagine that. So one thing after another, everything piled up and the English parliament got tired of it all and decided to put an end to Charles' idiocities." Cedric paused. "Why are you just staring at me? Write all of this down, there's no way in hell I'm... I mean, I don't want to repeat. So. The parliament gathered an army and marched against the royalists. At first, the royalists were much luckier. They won a lot of battles in a row. Probably because the royal army was made of soldiers and knights, while the parliament one was made of militia and peasants. But later, the parliament started winning. Because of one man - Oliver Cromwell. That guy was just some random guy, but he had a good head and a brave heart. Because of him, the parliament's army won a great deal of battles and thus Cromwell was turned into a... general, or something like that. The main figure of parliament's army. Well... Then he squashed the royal army and took the king captive. There were some more wars after this one, but I don't rem...... want to bore you, you can read about it at home. The point of the story is that they brought Charles I to London, chopped his head off and danced around in happiness. It also signified the beginning of England's downfall, when filthy peasants began asking for their rights."

"Why didn't you just say that in the first place?" Irma said.

"I don't know." Cedric said nicely. "I guess I just wanted to listen to your beautiful voice."

"You're getting weird again." Irma said. "I think I will tell Knickerboxer everything you said to me today. Let's see if you have a job after that."

"Knickerbocker won't fire someone as handsome as me." Cedric gave Irma a wink. "So, miss Cook. You've been quiet today, but I haven't forgotten about you." Trust me, I haven't. Cedric added in his mind, glaring at Taranee with fiery eyes. "Perhaps... you would be so kind and tell us about Cromwell's fate after the king was killed? After all, Cromwell was needed to get rid of the tyrant and when tyrant was dead... you get the point."

Taranee looked up quickly. She wasn't quite sure how to respond so she decided to wing it/
"What page would that be in our book Professor Collins?"

How should I know? 'Collins' asked himself. "Nevermind, I just thought that you'd know that." He replied. "Everyone walks around praising your intelligence, so... Nevermind. To those of you who don't know, he died because of a disease - malaria, I think. Can you believe it? A disease! He lived such a great, glorious life, and all it took was a simple disease to end all that. Oh, and by the way - what was your home task for today? I seem to have forgotten."

"Man, what's up with Collins today? He's a lunatic." she said to Taranee telepathically.

You know we can communicate telepathically I really have no idea. This whole thing is really strange. He doesn't seem like himself at all.
