[Enter: Lord Cedric and Elyon from History2B]
Cedric smirked as he entered the place. "They actually call this place a library?" He said ironically. "It's a violation of the term, if you ask me." The library was almost empty - truly Elyon brought them to the right place - and somehow it didn't surprise Cedric. Who would want to read such boring things anyway? All these books were misleading and Cedric knew that if he'd end up in here again right before going back to Meridian, he'd burn the place down. Sadly, he couldn't do it now. Even if Cedric could feel Elyon, it still was unpleasant for him to be unable to see her. Why couldn't she simply learn to shape-shift? Cedric already wasted too much time teaching her that. If only Elyon would have understood the basic things he kept repeating over and over... If she'd have been completely hopeless in everything, it would have been understandable. But she could turn invisible, she could burn things, smash things, drain people's life force away, do all kinds of unnecessary stuff no one asked her to - the list could go on. But not shape-shifting. Probably the most important thing in such situations was beyond her grasp. A joke, but Cedric wasn't laughing. But before he could begin a speech or even take another step, he felt the unusual stir again. Someone was using magic - again, but this time it was different. The force felt more natural, more pleasant - but it angered Cedric all the same. It's my problem. I'm angry about everything today. "Elyon." He whispered cautiously. "It seems the guardians are playing games too."

"Pfff. Let them." Elyon replied. Everyone seemed to be trying play a game with her anyway. Guardians, rebels, Phobos... Matt... But not anymore. She knew she had the power -and even more motivation- to turn the tables.
"I woke up this morning..." she started, slowly reappearing in the visible spectrum. She had her back turned to Cedric as she looked out a window. "...and I don't know why. But I felt bigger. Stronger. More capable than ever before. Somehow I know what I can and can't do..." She turned around and faced her dear snakemonster, looking him in the eye. "... Today, Cedric!" Elyon stated. "Today, I'm going to trap them. Today, they're going down. All five of them... All I need is a time and place."

Cedric was slightly unnerved by how determined Elyon was. She sounded powerful, decisive...
Like a queen.
Cedric shook his head. He couldn't afford to be thinking like that. After all, Phobos did have his plans...but Cedric didn't want to think about that either. Instead he turned his mind to the present where Elyon was staring at him with a defiant expression.
Was he going to be like her brother and tell her that she was a useless child and couldn't do anything to help? No, not only would that make her angry enough that she could destroy any of their plans, but even if Phobos didn't see it, Cedric knew that she would be the only person who could probably get rid of the Guardians.
And Cedric wished for nothing else at the moment.
But...how?
"There is a painting," Cedric started quietly, his memory of a time long ago coming to him. "This painting is like a portal into a different world inside the artist's head. A court painter in Meridian had once defied Phobos and so was punished by being forced into the painting. There is no way out..."
Cedric pondered what he said and looked at Elyon.
"It might seem very unfitting for those who so dearly deserve your revenge, but maybe the painting in the museum would be a good alternative if let's say you can't bring yourself to kill them. Whatever you want to do, Elyon."

"No way out?" Elyon repeated. The words intruiged her. Seal the girls inside a painting... she thought to herself, a smile appearing on her lips as she did. Trap them in a false world. A lying world. A world that they don't belong to... "It's perfect!" she stated. "I couldn't have come up with a more fitting punishment! trap them in a fake place, with fake people, just like they did with me. To top it of, I can watch them suffer for years. And when I'm old and had my fun, I can always just rip them apart. Literally!"
The evil in Elyon's heart made her smile into a sadistic grin as she started to think about the despair the girls would feel, knowing that unlike the princess, they wouldn't be saved from all of it by a handsome bookseller. But then another thought crossed her mind.
"But... They're magical creatures." she said as the grin vanished instantly. "I don't want to be overconfident and ignore their magic. How can you tell they won't somehow teletransport back into the museum, or open a portal?"

Cedric grinned at Elyon's thoughts to his idea with satisfaction. But then she made her inquiries and Cedric's grin grew bigger.
"I believe that's the best part. In a false world of a painting, there is no magic. The world isn't real, there are no elements to call forward and demand, and even the powers of the Heart of Kandrakar can't reach such a place."
At that thought, Cedric's smile faded slightly. He knew Phobos also desperately desired the Heart of Kandrakar. Well he would have to deal with disappointment. This might be the only way to get rid of the Guardians, and do away with the Heart if they must

Elyon revealed her small, tight smile once more. The same one she kept using all morning. "This is just too good to be true." she said to herself, noticing how she got excited at the very thought of the trap. Phobos was a lucky guy to have a genius like Cedric backing him up. Ah, Phobos... If he was going to keep her down all the time anyway, then what would she need him for? Destroy him... Ack! No! Perish the thought! She closed that chapter already anyway.
She interrupted her own stream of thought again and returned to here and now before her mind sidetracked any further. "I have to see that painting for myself!" Elyon continued, her voice still carrying glee and excitement. "Which one is it? Who's the artist?"

Cedric was filled with glee at Elyon's enthusiastic response. This all might just work.
"It's Everlasting Spring by Elias Van Dahl. A very cheery painting where everybody forever lives in a world of false hopes and no change. I believe it is hanging in the Heatherfield Museum on the second floor. Would you like to go investigate and form your wonderful plan while I continue this Collins charade? With luck I may be able to see the other two Guardians, Will and Cornelia and perhaps find out more information."

"Sounds like a plan!" Elyon nodded. "And maybe give them a reason to go to the museum too." Although that wasn't a neccesity actually. In the end, she could lure the girls to wherever she wanted them like moths to a flame...
"Well then, Cedric" the princess continued. "I'll leave everything here to you." With a nod and a tight smile, her body vanished into nothing once again and she took her leave. Off to prepare a magnificent trap...

Cedric smiled. Everything was going according to plan.
